So... I'm not really a new member, so much as a freakishly old member that slipped out a long time ago and has somehow found her way back.
Mostly, it's just this: Mesh has my brain. I want it back. So, I'm here, trying my very best to get back into the flow of this site.

I joined up here when there was about 100 members and the size of the site now kinda scares me. So pardon me if I tend to run away from large groups of people. I do it real life too. I had a high school graduating class of three and am currently enrolled in a college of 800 students. Oh, yeah. I am AWESOME at avoiding crowds.
I'm a prose writer. About three days ago I wrote my last poem EVER for my college career and I cannot tell you how happy that makes me. I'm not good at poetry and the real problem is, I don't wanna put in the effort to get better. It's just not my cup of tea.
Come to think of it, neither is tea. My roommate is obsessed with tea and she made me try some. *makes a face* No offense to anyone that likes tea, but to me it just tasted like grass-y water. *shudders*
(Just in case it hasn't already become obvious: I'm easily distracted and can go off on tangents. Sorry.)
I'm in the middle of writing a novel. I have been for a long time. You should probably get used to hearing me talk about L'ira and Aeroan and Danic and a bunch of other people, because they've basically been living with me for the past four years while I've been trying to write this out. The first draft actually ended up here on the site for a while. Got some really great comments from ya'll... but as usually happens, when you're 18 and looking back at stuff you wrote when you were 14 and 15, you realize all the things you could have done better.
So, the book still bears a lot of resemblance to the first draft. But there are certain characters and plot devices that have either been lost or created since then. Give me a little while to get it fixed up the way I want, and I might post the (new) first chapter here on the site. I would love some comments... I'm still looking into the rules for posting things online when you want to publish them later, though...
I also might be scarce over the next couple of weeks, because... well... I'm in college, and finals are coming up and it's gonna be crazy scary for me. I, decided to become an overachiever at the age of 18 and be a double major. I think it officially gives me one of the longest majors in history (Double major in English with a Creative Writing Emphasis and Classics with Ancient Studies emphasis), but it also drives me a little nuts.
I love fantasy stuff. I love reading other people's work. If you want something critiqued, let me know. I might take a little while to get to it. But I'll also get to it faster if you point out to me, then if I'm wandering around the forums for something to look at. The number of pieces on here is one of the things that scares me the most. You guys are one prolific bunch.
