Walking along the sidewalk in the streets of L.A., Clair hummed the tune of a song that was stuck in her head. She had her books squished between her arms and chest while taking long strides to move quicker. Clair could not, could not, be late for her final. Clair jumped suddenly at voices screaming in the background behind her....

"Hurry!"

"Move move!"

"My baby, my baby!"

Helicopters and sirens of different vehicles quickly tuned out the daily buzz of L.A. within seconds along with the screams and sudden outburst. Clair was confused and didn't know what was going on. People was running from the coast line...

Clair ran across the corner to find someone but just found more chaos. She turned around and was only knocked back against the building.

"Hey watch it!" she napped.

this work? ya this is fun...

"It's fine. I didn't meant to snap." she sighed looking around and at the two girls.

"What's going on anyways. Why is everyone running and screaming. Why are they running from the coast line? My friend lives down that way." Clair looked at them.

* I'm not going to use the real president because I think it is hard to write that guy down.*

The President eat his breakfeast quietly. He didn't have to talk with his cabin until 8...it was 7 right now.
He poured some more cereal and then turned on the news.
"...In downtown Los angeles, A tidal wave striked the coast today and....were just getting a news report that Seatatle has been hit also."
The president looked at the Telivison. He didn't like this. He then picked up the phone and still listened.
" Where getting footage from a witness of this tragedy, Listener are you there?"
Suddenly the thing snapped to footage from a phone of the coast.
" Oh my God...It's unbelivable. The wave was taller then the skyscrapers! I can't..." The listner began to cry.
" Stay with us. Can you tell me what this footage is."
" This...is the footage of the wave I took from a plane...Oh god..."
The footage then showed a huge wall of water smaking right into the Los angeles harbor and almost the whole city was in water by the time the footage was over.
" Oh shit..." The president whispered and then he got the phone ready.
" General! Call in the Coast guard right now! Send them to the west coast. We have a major disaster here..."
Just then a small earthquake hit Washington D.C.

"Hold on don't strugle!Stay calm!"Gena said to the boy as he started struggling.Another wave came into the beach and the boy went under water.
'Crap!' she thought as she went under water to dodge the wave.
She swam as fast as she could to the sinking boy and snatched him up onto the waters surface. The boy choffed up water and sputtered.

"Your fine just hold on."she said incoragingly.

Then the sound of helicopter blades came up above and she looked up as a smaller wave hit them both but they didn't go under.

A splash came as she followed it she could tell it was a marine*right?*He easily got them both onto the life thingy and holled them up onto the helicopter.

'So much for getting back to my friends.' Gena thought.

"We could use someone like you.We were watching the sicuastion as we came and you would pase our tests in a heart beat."the man said.

Gea nodded that was all she could do.

She could be one of them! She was bter off as a righter as she was...

Ma'am, hold on to this rail Darman yelled over the roaring blades of the helicopter. He took the boy in his arms and strapped him in to the back of the chopper.

"Ma'am, are there any others that need help in this location? We need to move to the rally point now if there's not." Darman put a towel around her back and sat down waiting for the reply.

"I don't know." Gena said

Darman tapped the pilots shoulder to give them the signal to proceed to the rally point. He turned his head slightly as if listening to an ear receiver.

"Ma'am, I need to know if there are people down there that we could help. I have been ordered to pull out of here and head inland. These disasters are happening everywhere. The rally point is now being evaced and we don't have much fuel. They are telling me that L.A. is lost and I am not leaving until this chopper is full or the city is evacuated!"

Jamie:

I had no idea what I was supposed to do! I felt useless. I was scared, and worst of all, there was no one around. I bit my lip and braced myself for the next wave of disasters.

"I have no idea."she said again,"Unless you count people just off the beach that don't know what to do."

"Ya that counts."He said signaling the piolet to go down.

*that ok?*

*Jamie's comforting the other girl..um what's her name?*

Darman:

"Holy...! Did that roof just fall in." Darman clicked his throat mike,"Sir, permission to search a house ground side."

He waited for the channel to clear. "Negative, do not go ground side. It is off limits for army personnel."

"Understood." he replied.

"Take us in." Darman knew he would either be court martialed or awarded. He didn't care either way. He just didn't want to be dead. he thought about the dead thing again and thought that doing this might just get him killed anyway.

The fast ropes dropped and his emotions were overtaken by pure adrenaline. years of training and combat experience were the only solid things to cling to while going in. Darman landed in knee high water and began sifting through the ruble of what was left of a suburban home. A room to the right, clear. A room to the left, clear. A bathroom and a kitchen to the right and another bedroom. In the bed lay a kid maybe 16 or 17 years old with part of the ceiling on his chest. he was out cold.

Darman slung him over his shoulder and began the trek out. He emerged from the house and waved his free arm to signal the chopper. A water rescue basket emerged from the side door and slowly began it's lifesaving decent.

Darman laid the boy, now starting to wake up, into the basket first. He then sat on the edge of the basket and hoped the bot didn't weigh over 150lbs or the wench wouldn't pull them aboard. They rose into the air and the helicopter was on its way.
