Vanell-

I moved silently through the dark forest looking for anerthine, (a strong healing herb that glowed in the moonlight). A few minutes before I had found a badly injured fawn which would need the anerthine soon or it would die. Then just out of the corner I saw something glowing. I grinned, it was a lucky day for the fawn, anerthine was rare. I picked off a single leaf, it was all that the fawn would need. I quickly made a mental note of this place and walked back to the fawn. She was lying on the ground right where I left her with a huge gash in her side. In one quick motion I drew out Wyre and sliced off what was infected and applied the anerthine, which I had crushed in my hands on the why back. Instantly the fawn relaxed, letting the herb do it's work. Then I heard someone talking a little ways off.

Vanell-

Silently I went toward the voices.

"My scout has just brought me marvelous news men." someone said with an air of authority.

I jumped up into a tree to get a better view of what was going on. I saw a battalion of soldiers who looked like they had been running for moons. They were all spread out everywhere, not even looking up as the commander spoke.

"He reports a small patrol of westerners camping just over the hill. Now I want you all to get a good rest because we attack at dawn. Except for you lieutenant Malik, your keeping watch." the commander finished.

The lieutenant looked like he wanted to argue but didn't dare, all he said was, "Yes sir!". Then he walked to the edge off the camp and looked off into space. "Why does the Commander always pick on me." the lieutenant brooded.

As a rabbit hopped by he picked up a stone and threw it at the rabbit. The rock hit the rabbit in the chest and it fell back stunned. "Good riddance." the lieutenant muttered. Then looking around to make sure everyone was asleep he leaned back against a tree and closed his eye's.

I lowered myself from the branch with my feet directly over the lieutenant head. I let Wyre softly touch his neck before pressing it in. Then I quickly and silently went away from the camp, leaving a dead man with a mixture of surprise and horror on his face.

[Sayla]

She wandered around in the undergrowth and startled a young fawn who ran past her. There had been voices not far away but she couldn't hear them now.

Creeping back further into a bush she decided to sit and have a drink. She had been moving since early that morning and she was thirsty.

She thought she heard a rustle behind her but she looked and saw nothing so shrugged. She wasn't any good at tracking anyway. Or being particularly quiet for that matter, she just had to stay alive.

Naomi~

Naomi walked silently through the woods, carrying a tray of food. What father doesn't know won't hurt him She smiled as she ducked under a low hanging branch and pushed her way through a bush.

"Here," she squatted on the ground and handed a poor looking group of children the trays. The oldest took it, coming dangerously close to her ring.

"Sister, there's bones in this fish!" The youngest complained.

"Shush and eat around it! It's not everyday we get to eat like this." One of the older ones scolded. Naomi smiled gently.

"You can sell that silver and make some money, I'd say twenty to thirty gold coins." Naomi commented.

The oldest, a boy of twelve looked up. "Thanks," he simply said.

"Not at all," came Naomi's reply, as she walked back through the woods, rubbing the ring on her finger. Tomorrow I'm going to buy a necklace to hang this on. It's way to dangerous. She decided as she walked, not remembering the way out.

"Uh..." was all she could say.

((Axis))

"Alana?" Axis whispered, opening his sisters door slightly. The old wooden door creaked on it's old wooden hinges. She should replace those for some nice metal ones. Axis thought happily, then he could sneak up on her anytime, no squeaking. Axis grinned and surveyed the dark bedroom. He could see Alana under her covers from where he stood, sleeping. He proceeded to open the door, his lime eyes opened wide. The door was fully opened and Alana wasn't awake. That's odd...

A piece of cold metal was pressed to his throat at that though, "Gotcha." said a velvety voice behind him.

Axis groaned softly and turned to face his sister, "Come on, Lana, let me get you at least once!" he insisted quietly.

Alana took the spoon away from Axis's throat and allowed him to turn. She moved back, her russet eyes were dancing in the dark, "You're just extremely predictable." she flashed him a grin.

Axis laughed quietly so he wouldn't wake his mother and father. Then he remembered the figure in the bed. He tried to turn around to see what it was but yet another spoon was pressed against his throat.

"Gotcha again." a gruff, rumbling voice declared.

"Tobi, I should've known you'd be in there."

Tobias let go of Axis and gave him a push into his sister. Alana wrapped her arms around him, "I'm sorry Ax, but war is war." Alana's smooth voice always made Axis feel better.

His slight frustration had disappeared. Alana let go of Axis and looked down the hall of their house, her vibrant red hair falling down her shoulder.

"So, are we going?" she asked, her curious face still looking down the hall.

"We got Axis so we might as well." Tobias answered. Axis grinned, "I would've gotten you."

Tobias laughed, "You wouldn't've. You're nothin' but a scrawny shrimp." Axis scowled and looked Tobias over. He was running his hand through his black hair, the little light that came from the moon outside made it so it had blue and purple streaks. Tobi's leather vest opened to his muscular tanned body.

Not a fair match anyways Axis grumbled to himself.

"Come on! If we're going to find anerthine we need to go while the moon's out."

Axis looked confused, "Anerthine..?"

Alana nodded, "Didn't I tell you? We're going to find some so we can have some dye for our gang tattoos."

Tobias tapped Axis on the shoulder so he turned around. Tobi held out his vest so he could see his side. The moonlight caught it and a flaming butterfly appeared. It vanished as Tobias moved out of the moon light coming in from the window.

Alana nudged Axis, she was almost out the window, "Let's go. There's some in the Western Woods."

Alana jumped out the window, a thump followed shortly after, signifying she had landed. Tobias launched himself after her. Axis paused, What if mom and dad find out where we went? he asked himself.

Mecha jingled below him, the set of dogtags reminding him what weapon he had that no one else did.

Axis sighed, You're right he mentally told the weapon. He warily grasped the side of the window and pushed himself out.

Ross ran through the forest as the soldiers followed behind.
" Stop!" They yelled.
Like hell he would, Ross thought and Jumped into a tree and watched the soldier run to him...and suddenly get ropes caught around their knees.
" AHHH!" They yelled as they went up into the tree's.
Ross looked at one of them and smiled. He grabbed that one." Where is she?"
" Who?" the soldier asked franticlly as he tried to untie himself.
" You know who...That girl you took in for a prisoner only five hour's ago!" Ross then aimed his bow and arrow at the soldier and fired a shot through the man's leg.
" Now again, Where is she?"
The soldier began to whimper until he felt another arrow go through a leg.
" She is in the camp! Only a mile away! Don't kill me!"
Ross took out a blade and cutted a piece of rope which dropped all the soldiers to the ground.
Ross then disseapered into the foliage before the soldiers could retrieve their weapons.

*alright I'm going to draw a map and upload it, but just so everyone knows the East is largely plains, with some mountains in the south and a forest bordering the north sea (sorta like the arctic). The West is mostly forests and mountains. And the two empires are separated by the Strait. A wide river that flows down from the North Sea, to the entrance into the Waste.*

*i'm lost who was captured?*

Saia-

Plans had changed. Well that was what court was like for soldiers, constantly being jerked around, and secrets within secrets. Now Saia had to travel all the way to the outpost without anyone to watch her back. Because travelling alone was less noticeable. Well she couldn't really argue with that logic. Which was why she was in the middle of the forest heading south, at least Saia thought she was heading south.

"What a pain." She murmured softly, running her finger along Syrist. "It's really not very comfortable having the council hate me." The sound of fighting reached her ears and up ahead Saia could see a campfire.

With a thought Saia twisted the air currents under her feet and jumped lightly into the tree branches above. Quietly she moved closer to the edge of the camp. What she saw surprised a single boy taking on ten trained soldiers? Only a soul-blader would be that arrogant.

She studied the ring of light that surrounded the boy, that only another soul-blader could see. He wasn't anyone she knew, but her encounters had been limited to a few other Western bladers and the one Eastern blader she'd fought. While they were trained the bladers had been separated for some strange reason.

One of the soldiers got behind the boy and swung his sword down to strike. Instinct took over. Recklessly Saia leaped from the tree letting Syrist flash into the sword that was his true form. She sent a blade of wind ahead of her cutting through the sword and slicing it in half.

The sound of breaking metal was enough to alert the other boy, he whirled to face the attacker. But not before he glanced at Saia. Maybe the kid had never met another Blader? It was possible, sighing Saia pushed the troubling thoughts back and threw herself into the battle in earnest.

Naomi~

"Crud which way is out?" Naomi moaned as she walked, holding the ring to her chest. All of a sudden three people came into veiw, discussing something...imporatant? Naomi yelped lightly and jumped back into a bush, she squatted low and held her breath. Unfortuately someone had found her, just by the sound of footstep Naomi could tell they were getting closer and closer. I've got Hoshi. No need to worry. She thought, still holding her breath.
