Do you carry a notebook with you?

In my room, I have a big notebook that I scribble things into on random pages. (I'll often get up at midnight to do so.) The rest of the time at home, I have a file called 'Prompts' that I put everything in. The first half is organized, but I've just put everything else in randomly. :P

In school I write things in my planner and transfer them to my file when I get home.

I used to get a million inspirations on the bus, so I just bought an awesome notebook (notice how the better it looks, the more likely we are to write in it? :P) Now that I have it, though, I get no ideas on the bus. :(

Yeah. I just LOVE my file. :P It's about 10 pages, really small print. It rocks.

I have a big, green and tan, zip-up notebook that my Mom gave me (it was one of her old ones) that goes everywhere with me. It's very bulky (takes up a third of the space in my backpack) but it has lots of cool pockets and places for pens and stuff.

I have about 7 notebooks that I carry in a bag with me everywhere. All of which get changed randomly, and flipped through a lot. They are no where near organized -- meaning I often have to flip through, rip out about 3 pages from each, and put them in the correct order. 'T is a pain in the butt, but it's my way of doing things.

Also, my left arms works as a giant post-it if I'm desperate. :D

Anyone else not keep a notebook?

I just opened my drawer and apparently I have three, but they are all basically empty. (One of them just has a bunch of phone numbers--all from almost two years ago, and the other two have a ton of pages ripped out.)

nah I don't have one, I'm jsut not organised enough to remember to carry it around...or proactive enough.

I *have* got a big cork notice board in my room where i keep invites and notices. If i wake up in the middle of the night with an idea for my big novel (not on yws but might eventually make it to advance critique section), I'll race over there with a big red texta and write myself a message.

It's really funny when I wak up the next morning, walk over and ask myself "why the heck does tanin have to go to Nantes before Sa'abrendar?"

...or it would be funny...if I could remember the answer.

A writer without a notebook is like a warrior without a sword.

I always keep my pocket notebook in my packbag.

Nobody else knows when the inspiration strikes.
Don't matter what, just WRITE!

Do you YWS?

I can't imagine going anywhere without a notebook.
Any little idea I have gets scribbled down, no matter what it is or where I am.

Though when you're going down the highway at 70 mph that tends to get in the way.

I never, ever have a notebook with me. Probably because I'm usually with my friends when ideas come to me and if I pulled out a notebook or sticky note and wrote down an idea they'd call me a nerd or something. But it's also because most of the ideas that occur to me are pretty dodgy. If I think something's really good and I feel I have to write it down, it'll be one that I can't get out of my head for days after first thinking of it.

Everyday. I picked my purse just because it's big enough to carry it with me all the time.

No notebooks for me. But I do keep one sheet of notebook paper folded up small - it lives perpetually in my back pocket, should I suddenly be struck with inspiration. It's amazing what you can fit on one piece of paper...

I have loads at home, but I rarely bring them with me. I just scibble on my hand or just remember it. But I love drawing ideas on bits of paper. I mean characters.

I have tons of notebooks that are half-full, although I favor the expensive Five-Star ones, but I don't carry it around with me wherever I go. I'm too scatterbrained; I'd totally lose it and then cry about it.

I carry a notebook too!

Where else can I doodle? and write ideas? and scribble other random stuff? and experiment with my calligraphy skills?

hmm, I think everyone should have a notebook, a personalised one too (even if it's only stickers!)

I tried carrying a notebook around, but it was too hard to remember. I am an airhead, so I forget everything. :)
