Does anyone else make sure that they have a notebook (or post it or something) with them at all times in case an idea comes along? If you do, what do you use (aka, post it, notebook, whatever) and is it organized? Just curious

All the time, a mini one, my purple folder with my novel in it, and my book, at all times mostly.

Ha ha ha oh yeah. Definitely. I carry a notebook with me whenever I can. I actually have two notebooks, and a digital writing journal (aka Word file I use for a journal on my computer), but I don't really use the other one anymore (one's for my novels and the other's for my fanfics, but the fanfics are in my head so much how could I forget what I have planned? I practically live and breathe the world I've created! ^^; ). I've got tabs set up for hand-written notes/drafts of my trilogy, general notes, other novels, maps, and paper/other. My writing journal is written almost exactly like I would write a journal/how I would go on and on about my stories to my brother (sometimes I like to ask him for input but then I just decided I'd do the writing journal) and divided up by date. I haven't been writing in it lately, though. ^^;

So, yeah--I practically have a bag just for writing supplies and my notebook(s)/notes. It's been a BIG help ever since I started. :D

I have a journal for plot things when I'm in the vicinity of my house, but at school I just write it on my arm or something. I'm old school. Or rather...Sam School?

Usually I have a notebook with me, especially since I practically live out of my backpack. Sometimes I don't, which is why I make sure I always have a pen with me and write it on some part of my body if absolutely no paper or proper writing tablet is available.

Sam School, eh? Rock on. ;)

Erm, I have a little black book for my ideas and what not at home.

At school I find random bits of paper and start scribbling away. If I'm out then I just write on my hand......Sam School I assume?

Not always.

If I'm really into something, I'll carry my notebook everywhere so I can write whenever the mood strikes me, but I usually manage to retain ideas that pounce on me without writing it down.

If I suddenly think of a few really good sentences, I'm forever scrabbling around for a scrap of paper and a pen to jot them down with though, so I probably should carry a small notebook around.

Lol. I almost always carry my notebook with me wherever I go, and when I don't want to carry that with me, I carry a small Post-It notebook type thing. Here's a picture of it.

I bought it at Target for about... $8.00. You might be able to find it at Wal-Mart, Staples, and a few other places. And you're obviously going to need TONS of refills if it's going to be like your travel-notebook.

Hope this helps.

I have a little beat-up snakeskin print notebook I got with the tickets I won at Gameworks.

Sadly, I've only written my work schedule in it for quite a while now. Inspiration rarely strikes me these days. The only reason I've written anything creative in the past year is because we had to for my English classes. Everything else is just crappy freewrites.

Yeah I have a notebook... but do I always have it with me? No. I usually just keep a pen with me and write it anywhere possible (even my jeans are used for a note or two - a last resort type of thing) Hand is most common though - I probably should join Sam's School now... haha.

I have one, and it rocks! I just got it. It's fancy and... and... and... I love it.

I don't always bring it with me because it's big; I've got another smaller one for every day use and whatnot. Maybe I'll post a picture of my big notebook some time?

I have a little notbook that I use at hmme, but I don't usa;;y bring it with me. I just hope that all my ideas come at school and I can quickly scribble them in the back of my book.
*Don't expect to see me around much in the next couple of weeks. School has started again, and it'll be a couple of weeks before I've settled in. If you've asked me for a critique, you will get it, but not for a little while. Sorry*

I use a scrapbook to write drafts of my work in, but otherwise no. I need to, really... Argh.
