*okay, that's cool with me :D*

Chandra-

My door creaked open and I flattened myself on the wall behind it.

"Miss Chandra?" asked a voice.

I held my knife to the guard's throat. This was more than a game than anything, I had threatened him enough times.

"Nice job," he said with a sarcastic grin. "You're needed."

"Where?" I said, shoving my knife down my boot and fastening my belt again.

"The barn out in the yard." he said.

"That's a bit of a weird place to meet." I said. "Are you sure you didn't get it wrong?"

"I'm sure." he answered. "Go on."

I slung my quiver over my back and set off.

Maki-

The black haired girl headed towards the 'meeting point', or other wise the near by barn. Maki's messanger had given her a letter to meet there. Another order a usual.

"Sounds interesting." Maki whispered as she neared the barn.

Gin was the first to get there and he patiently waited for the others. One by one they all arrived and once they were all there they exchanged greetings. Some better than others. Gin nodded and place the scroll on a small table.

"I am Gin Ro and am your commander for the missions a head, though i will be asking advice from all of you. We will work as a team."

"What's our mission then Gin?" asked the man named Lathe.

Gin opened the scroll and laid it flat. "We have five missions to complete in two months. They range in importance, but it seems as long as we finish them all within the time scale we should be fine." He hands out the scroll to pass around.

"What sort of missions are they?" Asked the man named Wes who hadn't gotten the scroll yet.

"The missions are as listed here."

1.) Aid in building a bridge across a small but deep chasm.

2.) Travel to the neighboring town and receive information on the mercenary group Black Sun.

3.) Intercept a single carriage owned by a rival lord to see what he is transporting. He is suspected of treason.

4.) Offer aid at the academy in teaching and other tasks.

5.) Find and kill an old blacksmith of our lords who stole a method for making harder and cheaper weapons and stop him from selling it on the black market.

"These are the missions, so we will have a vote. I vote for intercepting the carriage. How about the lot of you?"
I will always fight back, no matter what.

Chandra-

The man called Lathe handed me the scroll with a smile. I scowled back and scanned the choices.

"We kill the blacksmith," I said and handed it back to him.

*sorry all I got*

I thought about it.

"Killing the blacksmith should be our first priority."

"The bridge will be the easier of teh group. Where in location are they all?" She asked looking at the head person. "If it comes to a vote though, I'll go with teh carriage."

Wes-

I scanned the list of missions. I'd better be getting a good bit of coin for this.

"I'll do anything on here," I said, shrugging nonchalantly. "It doesn't matter to me. The carriage or the blacksmith seem to be of the most importance, so I vote we go for those first."

"Intercept the carriage," Lathe answered, after weighing the options considerably. He was in the mood for tracking and threatening, but not necessarily killing. And besides, treason is always so much fun!

His eyes swept the room, studying his new companions, and lingered on the girl standing next to him, though he tried to be inconspicuous.

She must have felt his gaze, because she met it with a look of pure venom that said, 'back off or I'll slit your throat'. Fighting to control unexplained amusement, he nodded politely and turned back to see how the others voted.

"Gin thought for a moment as he listed to some of the suggestions. "How about this. We go for the carriage first, but on the way gather information on the whereabouts of this Blacksmith and the Black Sun. From there we go straight for the traitor then the mercenaries. How does that sound to you guys?"

"Fine." I said. "Though I have to say, they need us to assassinate a blacksmith?"

Lathe grinned at me again. He must think I'm joking, I thought.
But I was serious, out of all the people to assassinate, a blacksmith?

"So you reckon that's a good idea?" Gin asked.

"Well since it would appear I have to come along, I'd say yes, the sooner we get this over with the better." I said.

[Lathe]

The plan sounded good, something to do to break the monotony of the past week. Lathe dropped his hand to the handle of his blades, habitually running his thumb along the edge. He was itching to get going.

Several things swarmed at the back of his mind. Most of them were Chandra; her blacksmith question and her herself. It was very distracting. His eyes found her again and he felt himself grin like a mindless idiot. He turned away, this was going to be hard.

"When do we start?" he asked, eager to begin.

"Go prepare, we leave in an hour."

**sorry, I just found the blacksmith thing really odd, but if you've got it under control then cool :D**

"An hour?" I asked. "Good." I looped my hair up and tied it with a scarlet ribbon. I hated having it in my eyes when I was getting organised.

Lathe was staring at me, again. "What?" I said.

"Nothing." he answered, lowering his eyes, which I noticed were intense and bright blue.

"I've got to go get packed," I said, and left the barn.
