ok...does everybody know what a duke, count, lady, marque, etc. is? good ok this is basically a social gathering of "rich" folks....people fall in love, die, are born etc.....you get the point.

Age: 17

Personality: lady like at balls, but when she is at home, she tends to get a little roudy.
History: Her mother was murdered when she was 6. she was raised by wild dogs, but was spotted and captured. she is now being trained as a lady so she can take over the dukedome. her father is the current Duke of Hastings.

Hello this is Holly. I have a character.

Duchess Helena Rigsby-Horton
Age: 17
Helena has a very dark past. No one knows what happened to her father, who was last seen in a poker house in London, and her mother is extremely fiery. Helena does not like anyone who thinks they are superior to her, and she soon sees to them. She is introduced to many people such as Duke Hollingdale and Lord Amesbury at her mother's annual ball, but she does not care for their namby-pamby ways. She is a fighter, and an independent girl. Don't mess with her, or you will be VERY sorry.
Appearance: Dark blonde hair, dresses usually in dark green or hyacinth blue, big hats, thin waist, and small hands and feet. Dainty, but prefers her rebellious side. Can come across as rather outspoken and rude. If she doesnt like someone, she will say so.

Can you have two characters? Well I'll make one for now... I'll do a guy since I bet there'll be a shortage of them...

Name: Count Frederick Glendon (Fred)

Age: 20

Appearance: tall, dark and handsome. Black hair, dark eyes. Quite lean.

Personality: Very friendly and confident. Loves horses and riding. He's up for a laugh and always does dares.

History: An only child. His father died last year and he inherited the estate. His mother died in childbirth. He loved his parents but their deaths have not affected him too heavily.

I would love Count Fred and Helena to get together. It would be a great way to rebel against their stereotypes and create a mockery of a really snooty family or something? Helena sounds like the sort of person that Fred would like, she's a fighter and wants someone strong!

Yeah definitely!

Only he doesn't really rebel, because he's his own master, although it would seem they'd get along well.

Age: 19

Personality: Doesn't like to sit around and do nothing. He is sweet and gentlmenly, but he loves an adventure or a challenge.
History: He was raised by the King, though everyone just thinks he was raised by the Kings right hand. He is an orphan pretty much, but no one knows it.

Age: 17

Personality: Very friendly. She's very out going and loyal. She doesn't wish to 'dress up' for plain occasions but her father makes her (Baron Archer). She's going through a small (very small) rebolious stage.

History: Mom died delievering her. Her twin brother died at birth.

Name- Samuel Welhart (Duke)

Age- 18

Personality- Witty and a smart alic in a way. he likes to play with people. He was once just a young knight and will always accept a challenge.

History- He was the youngest in the line for duke. His father died of an illness two years back and his two elder brothers have both been assassinated. He distrusts those he thinks will take his fathers legacy, not necessarily the power it self.

Adam slowly walked around the ball room. He was bored, it wasn't hard for him to get bored at gatherings like this. Nothing ever happened, and nothing really ever would.

You need to find a lady, one to court then marry. The king's voice rang in his ear. He frowned, none of the woman here were in the least bit interesting. Oh they were pretty, but none of them would every really do anythign spontaiously. He stopped where the drinks were and got on for himself.

"May I annoce Lady Tathilia daughter of The Duke of Hastings." A clear voice rang out. Adam turned around and stared. He didn't mean to be rude or anything, but this woman was beautiful beyond compare.

Age: 18

Appearance: tall and slender with obvious curves; long and wavy blonde hair, grey-blue eyes, fair complexion; likes to wear dark colors: deep reds, midnight and navy blues, and black

Personality: very quiet and patient, she only talks when addressed or the conversation is one of her interest. She loves books, artwork, and music.

History: The daughter of a writer/musician and a French duchess. She was raised to appreciate most forms of art and literature, but has taken a liking to fantasy, realism, and romance. She is trying to publish her own book when she's not painting.
