Caedwyn, startled by the anger of the woman, instantly went on his guard.
"I beg your pardon? Why would I laugh at you, I hardly know you. And you hardly know me, so I believe names are in order. I am Caedwyn, staying here at Edoras for the time being. And yours?"

Locating a fountain, Brenda decided she needed a drink before heading to the stables for her mount. She took the detour for the fountain, water glistening in the sunlight. On the edge of it sat, what she recognized easily, an elf wearing a long white gown, her long dark hair laying on the edge behind her and dipping easily into the water, disturbing its stillness.

Brenda's eyes were hooked at such a familiar species. Not every day did she see an elf and, if she did, they were always from Rivendell. As a human being raised by elves, she had every excuse to know how they worked as well as having every right to feel jealous. She could never live up to the children.

She cupped her hands and dipped them in the water, withdrawing a handful and drinking what she could. She took another, splashing it on her face and refreshing herself.

Kayla watched the girl on the other side of the fountian drink and wash her face. She hadn't spoken to anyone in so long she couldn't resist a breif conversation. Standing up she glided over to her and sat down.

"Hello," she said, "My name is Kayla."

The girl looked at her "Brenda."

"What brings you here?"
I just lost the game.

Brenda shrugged. "I'm a traveler," she said bluntly.

"You just travel?" Kayla said, cocking an eyebrow.

"Yeah," Brenda said. "Pretty much. My horse and I just wander the roads for the next city in line, stay there for some time...you don't know how rare it is to find an elf outside elfin cities."

"I'm sure it is," Kayla said.

Brenda's brow furrowed, coming to the realization again that Kayla was an elf. "What are you doing in these parts, then?"

Silvin listened as Farimir gave him his orders. He was to ride to Edoras and gain information on Rohans position. He accepted the orders without hesitation and set out as soon as he could.

(Now someone can bring me in)
I will always fight back, no matter what.

coraline-

She followed Aedomir out of the golden hall. She was wracking her brain trying to think and remember. Aedimir was good looking and he seemed nice but she still wasn't sure she if she could trust him with her secret. She wanted to trust him more than anything. She wanted to remember her life more than anything as she was trailing behind him. Well she wanted to remember him as a part of her life.

Kayla smiled, "I was lonely, there are very few elves left in Rivendell, I came to find someone to talk to."

"Oh," she looked confused, "lonely?"

"Yes, I am of a lonely nature and it finally got the best of me."
I just lost the game.

"Ah, you should find a friend," Brenda said, wiping her hands on her leather armor.

"Find one?" Kayla replied. "And how, in fact, would I do that?"

"Well, I met my horse in the stables," Brenda said drolly. "Speaking of which, I have to fetch her soon enough."

"You don't like me do you?"

"I just met you."

Brenda's brow furrowed. "I didn't mean anything offensive, Kayla."

"Then what did you mean?"

"That I was lonely until I got to know my horse, Mist," Brenda said, studying the elf. "And that moment you meet someone...it takes more than a moment to get to know them."

Kayla didn't respond.

"Come on, I'll introduce you to Mist," she said with a friendly smile.

Bella:

I glared at him. "When I asked if you were laughing, I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to my horse." I glared.

"Can we go?"

Brian chuckled. "Now, be nice. I'm Brian, and this is my sister, Isabella. Sorry to disturb you. Are you elfin?" he asked curious.

I rolled my eyes. "I'm going hunting now. If you two care to catch up with me, then yyou can follow!" I grabbed my horse and galloped off.

Brian:

He lauhged. "Sorry, my sister can be a bit...hot tempered." he smiled. "Would you like to hunt with us?"

I pulled my horse up within sight of Edoras, in time to see a small, sour-looking man go riding out through the main gates and into the distance, towards Isengard or the Gap of Rohan.

I shrugged and rode towards the city once more, before noting another rider and turning my horse in his direction. After a short time we were level, and I glanced sidelong at him, "What is a ranger of Ithilien doing in Rohan?"

"Acting on behalf of Gondor, and you?"

"Rivendell, in some respects."

Kayla agreed and followed Brenda through the crowded streets to the stables. Eyes followed the elf and human, wondering what they were up to. Brenda ignored them, seeing as she really wasn't up to anything.

Arriving at the stables, they walked inside. Brenda led Kayla to a chestnut-colored mare who stuck its head from inside its stall to greet her friend.

"This is Mist," Brenda said, rubbing Mist's neck. The horse looked to the elf. She didn't even sniff her to know that Kayla would be friendly. "She gets along with elves much better than humans."

"I see," Kayla said as the mare nudged her.
