"You're going to pay," I said with a snarl.
"For what? For stopping you killing your own sister?" she said, gasping for air. "Seems a bit stupid to me."
I bent down so my face was an inch from hers. "Would you kill your sister if she was wrong side? If she betrayed you?"
The colour left the girl's face and I knew I had hit a sore spot. I grinned.
Just then, an icy, commanding voice I knew only too well spoke behind me, and I suddenly realised why the girl beneath my foot was so familiar.
"I can take it from her Sam," Jace said to me, and any blood left in her sister's face drained away.
