So, this was really amusing, and I'll probably do something similar in Stat (since I no longer have to use that class to study for flying! Yay!), but I though I'd do a tally of my answers. Here's what I came up with:

Okay, so I read this really early in the morning and then fell asleep. This gave me THE WEIRDEST DREAM EVER.

I really don't know what to think. Some of it is funny. Some of it makes perfect sense. Then other times it is horribly offensive, especially when you touch on religion.

Though i am worried - i found myself leaning a bit towards the dark side.
I got a kick out of all the political ones, and the religious ones too.
The sexual ones were delightful as well.

Kitty--suggestions? This was really the only format I thought could work.

Rei--I was gonna say that none of the religious stuff should offend...till I remembered my Yahweh one. Unfortunately, that was purely an inside joke in my history class, where my catch phrase during our entire portion on the ancient Hebrews was "Don't f*** with Yahweh!"

As such, I should probably remove that one. The rest are usually satirical in nature, not really attacking anyone of the religion, rather attacking extreme parts of some religions (the Westboro Baptist Church, who picket dead soldiers' funerals with signs reading "God hates fags," and the extremist Muslim groups currently promoting anti-American sentiments world-wide).

I know that, but I was wondering how it was relevant, but I am sure it is, hehe!

Runawaythoughts ->> Lots of oddball stuff gets posted here; it's part of what makes the Young Writers Society such a unique site. The YWS administration and staff asks nothing more than that stuff be appropriately rated, as it was here. Of course, with stuff like this, I do keep a closer eye on it. However, we don't make restrictions on what gets posted for several reasons (libertarian ideals, intellectual honesty, yada yada yada).

Asking someone to not post something like this again, though, is not the best thing to say. For one, it's largely unnecessary as most authors only tend to write one piece like this. But for another, it reflects poorly on the person making the suggestion and as you can see from Hunter's response, it does not elicit good reactions. Even from a critique point of view, one of the overall aims of a critique is to get someone to agree with you, and you don't do that by saying "don't post something like this again."

You also want to make sure your spelling is at least somewhat good. It doesn't need to be perfect, but misspelling every other word does detract from your critique.

Anyways, hope that helps you in the future and I look forward to seeing you around more. Please don't take any of this the wrong way! We're all here to help you out.
