((lol. I have to say, your bear was pretty random. Maybe even a little more than the bear in DoaV. =P Who my mom has suggested should be a demonic woodchuck. >_>))

Robin scurried away while Aedomir handled the angry base leader. He hurried tot he medical bay, noticing Caius on the way. "The base has been surrounded," he told him. "Aedomir's calling for everyone to get ready for a fight. I'll go warn the people in the infirmary."

Caius nodded. "Very well." He turned to join Aedomir in preparing the fort for a fight.
Hurriedly Robin spoke up "Um...thank you...for before," he stumbled, embarrassed to remember his slip up. A little shamefaced, he quickly headed for the infirmary.

Robin felt a little twist when he saw how many lay wounded and ill. He could use his powers and--no. Not now. He turned to Bella and Thyme.
"The base is surrounded. Aedomir wants everyone to be prepared for an attack. He has a plan, but we need every able bodied fighter out there."

**haha, demonic woodchucks...that's great. *takes note*** **Seeing as Thyme is neither purely good nor bad right now, his color is changing to purple/indigo.**

Thyme

"The base is surrounded. Aedomir wants everyone to be prepared for an attack. He has a plan, but we need every able bodied fighter out there." Robin reported, stepping into the tent.

Bella looked down at me. "Can you fight?
Will you fight?"

I sighed. "Do i have a choice?"

I swung my legs over the side of the bed and stood slowly. Bella handed me my staff and wrapped her arm around my waist, supporting me. I pushed her away gently.

"I can stand. Go on, I'll follow."

Bella nodded and together, with Robin, we exited into the blazing glare of the sun who looked down in an unblinking stare at the battle to come.

Bella

The base was chaotic as we exited the infirmary. I stuck close to Thyme and Robin, not wanting to be trampled. A few people gave Thyme dirty looks, but no one said anything in particular.

"Where are we to go?" I asked, looking around. "What's the plan?"

Thyme

"Your guess is as good as mine."

I turned to look at Robin and Caius. "Do we," i cringed at the words. "have any orders?"

Robin
"Aedomir has a plan, but he needs us to hold them off for a bit. Other than that I don't know," he admitted, his hand gently brushing the hilt of his sword. They would be fighting again.

He noticed how Thyme cringed. His healer instincts, so recently returned, made him react. "Are you in pain? I could heal you--"

It occurred to Robin he didn't know the man's name. Realizing the reason for his pause, Thyme saved him the embarrassment of asking.

"Thyme," he told him.

"Thyme. If you're in pain I could ease it for you. My gift is very strong," Robin offered. Even as he did, a little voice at the back of his mind reminded him about his brother, but he allowed it to pass him by. As an empathic healer, he learned to deal with pain. Especially his own--if left unchecked it could hurt the one he was trying to heal. He had tucked away his loss and would let it out another time when their lives were no longer in danger.

Jamie
Jamie smiled, watching the soldiers in the fort run around in preparation. They would probably all die. He licked his fingers, his eyes dancing at the taste of the blood. He let go of the sentry he'd killed and let himself fade into the shadows. He was hungry now, but he little love for men's blood. He would have to wait, maybe getting a snack while the battle raged.

He would watch, for now, and wait for the right chance to speak to his sister.

Thyme

I smiled weakly. "That won't be necessary. I am in no pain."

That wasn't entirely true, but i think he meant physical pain. My pain was nothing he could heal.

I turned my face to the sun, closing my eyes. I wondered why i was stuck in here while i could've so easily been out there. One stupid decision guided by my irrational feelings had gone and just about ruined my life. And now i was probably going to be killed for it.

"But you still have Bella," a voice in my head reminded me.

"Not for long, probably. I have a whole army ready to kill me on first sight."

"But you have love. Would you really give it up that easily?"

I sighed and opened my eyes again, looking at Bella.

No, i wouldn't give it up. Not without a fight.

Orain - Bad

I stood apart from the rabble that attacked the walls of the fort - at this rate, they could only win if they sacrificed the majority of their force. I sent a few bolts of fire at the soldiers on the walls, before seizing the mind of one of them just long enough to make him open the gates.

They swung open only a little before the other outlaws knocked their comrade unconscious and began cranking them shut again, but goblins were rushing through the gates even as they closed.

Guards moved from the walls to the courtyard in an effort to hold back the tide, even as other goblins set ladders against the walls. In the midst of the chaos, I strode through the gates, seeking out Thyme even as I fought off the outlaws. I would have him by the end of the day - win or lose.

Aedomir

"Archers! Fire!" A cluster of arrows shot from the wall and crashed down, leaving several goblins strewn dead over the floor.

"Back volley! Now!" Several more guards fired arrows at the gate, and several weak squeels told Aedomir that a few had been slaughtered. He whipped his head around. The back wall was burning. Flames leapt into the sky. Thet left three walls to defend. "Archers! Draw swords! Get that gate closed!"

As the flood of goblins crowed through the open gate, Robin nodded to his companions."Let's all survive this." He paused a moment longer on Thyme, sensing that their new companion had more than one battle on his mind.
He clapped Thyme lightly on the shoulder. "You too, friend."

Robin then adjusted his grip on his sword and turned to the battle. He closed his eyes a moment. I will keep my promise, Jamie. And I'll find out what happened to you. Count on it. When he opened his eyes, he shed away all emotions but determination.

His feet carried him forward and he engaged the enemy that had made it through the gate. As he came body to body wit a large goblin, his body reminded him that he had just recently been in a long battle. He pushed the annoying thought away and pulled free, slashing the goblin's throat and kicking it aside as another came at him.

Bella

The battle had begun. No matter what, I always kept Thyme in sight, just in case.

He was doing the same for me. Constantly looking over to make sure I was all right.

I held my daggers carefully, jumping over the goblins and lunging at them gracefully. Out of all my hobbies, battle was probably my favorite. It could be so...dancelike, so graceful, sometimes. Even with the death....

But this battle would be an exception. There was a chance taht someone I truly cared for would die, and I would not let that happen.

Orain

I hit one of the guards in the chest with my staff, looking over the compound quickly. I focused on a small group of figures, There you are. My eyes narrowed, And you're with that girl, too.

I let a gust of wind pour through the gate, flattening several of the guards and several of the goblins as well. Only minor injuries in either case, but it meant the way between the traitor and I was clear.

"Traitor!" I yelled. Thyme and his companions turned, recognising my voice. Now you will answer for your actions, I thought, readying my staff. I wasn't going to take any chances with the girl this time.

Robin & Jamie (purple is the one when they interact, right?)
Robin's body moved gracefully, yet automatically. The drills he'd learned as a child took control as he cut down the goblins who came near. A tug at his mind made him turn as he ran a goblin through: a man, the leader of this attack perhaps, was advancing on Thyme and Bella, and he looked angry. Remembering the the feel of the bond between the two, Robin was unwilling to risk either dying. Love was something that made you strong, but it was also something that could kill you if taken away.

He pulled his sword free and ran to intercept the man. "Hey!" Robin called. The man turned just as Robin reached him, blocking Robin's attack. Robin drew back with sword for another attack, but was suddenly hit by a crippling force and sent flying to the side.

*^*^*^*^

Orian glared at this youth, furious he dared interfere. But something else bothered him...the boy looked very much like Jamie. Identical, even. For a moment he thought his ally had become a traitor as well, except the next moment Jamie tackled the youth, the two of them a blur of movement until they crashed to the ground and Jamie pinned the enemy. The vampire turned then to Orian and nodded. The annoyance dealt with, Orian turned back to Thyme and Bella.

Jamie cursed as he pinned his struggling twin. He'd seen that glimmer of recognition in Orian's eyes. Already he sensed someone coming to Robin's aid. "Don't move." He hissed. Robin froze, but Jamie knew it wasn't the order that had halted her.

"Jamie?" The question came as a squeak, pitiful and broken. Jamie twitched.

He grabbed his twin by the neck and picked Robin up as if she were a doll. Seeing an soldier coming at him, he took Robin's sword from her and cut the man down. Instructing Robin not to struggle, Jamie threw her over his shoulder and moved indoors. To others, it would appear as if they'd vanished. Though in truth he'd simply used his vampiric speed. There were few indoors, though he could hear a few heartbeats here and there. He easily found an empty room and entered, putting his twin on the ground and moving to the opposite end of the room. He had to hold his breath now, his hunger was growing and he couldn't risk losing control here.

Robin sat on the floor, staring at him through the dark. He could sense her disbelief, her shock. "Hello, sister."

((^_^ Yay. Family reunion.))
