Bella

Before I went too far from the tent in which Orian was being kept, I turned and cast a spell on it. No one knew it was there but me, and anyone who saw me cast it. If Orian tried to escape, or use any magic, he would find himself in a great deal of pain. That's all that mattered.

"Thyme!" I cried, running to catch up to him.

Thyme

I turned, watching Bella approach.

"What?"

"Wait up." she said, taking my hand in hers. She leaned her head against my shoulder, sighing deeply.

I said nothing, lost in my thoughts. I wondered if they would imprison me again, still finding me untrustworthy. I wondered if they would question me about the other camp, which seemed likely. I wasn't quite ready to fully betray the others, yet. I didn't want the
whole damn army on my tail. And i definitely didn't want Bella in danger.

I could picture Jamie-

Jamie! Where was he? Last i had seen of him was him wrestling on the ground with Robin. I hoped he (Robin) was alright. I would hate to see him die when i could've done something...

I wondered vaguely where Caius and Aedomir were, too. I knew Cauis was still uncertain of my loyalties and where they lie.

He wasn't the only one...

Robin
Robin sat in the darkness, the sounds of battle distant--much to distant to penetrate her clouded thoughts. Her brother was...

She choked, unable to even think it. He was a monster. But he couldn't be. Not her Jamie. Never. Could he?

She shivered, her hand reaching to close around her sword. It was gone. Vaguely she remembered Jamie taking it. Wake up, she ordered herself. She gently slapped her cheeks. She had to stay cool. Jamie was dead, but not dead. He was still living, if not alive. She didn't know where he'd gone, but at least he'd come.

He'd come to see her.

She bit back a smile. He had remembered her, even now. She scrambled to her feet, noticing the absence of fighting sounds. The battle had calmed, apparently. She wondered who had won.

She quietly slipped into the hall, making her way to the door out. When she was finally outside, she realized the fighting was over, and they'd somehow won. Seeing Thyme and Bella, she smiled. They were alright. Good. She hurried over. "I'm glad to see-" Robin paused for a split second, realizing she'd let her voice become feminine again. Jamie had thrown her out of character. She dropped her voice and continued. "you're both alright." She looked around. "Where's the head healer?" She asked, alarmed.

Shaking her head, she gave them both a tight smile. "I'm going to see if I can help. If either of you see the healer, please send her out right away. Maybe she doesn't know the fight is over."

Jamie
Jamie licked his lips, the warmth of his meal rushing through his body. The healer--somehow they tasted better than others--had given a fight, but her attacks were like a fly's buzzing to him. He looked at her drained husk and considered what to do with it. Finally, he left it where it was on the ground. He had other things to deal with, now that the battle had ended.

There was Robin, who he could see dancing through the mind's of Thyme and Bella.

Thyme. He was definitely a problem. Not Jamie's, mind you, but a problem. He might not let Jamie take his sister, though the same could be said of any of the others.

As mist, he made his way outside, curling around a dead body as he searched the mind's of those about. Orian had been captured--the fool. Jamie suspected he should lend a hand, or suffer a headache when he heard about it later.

But Robin...

Jamie let the concern pass. His sister was busy putting her skills to use. As she engaged them, he sensed a peace in her mind that eased him. She was confused, but not in turmoil. He sensed her recoil from the feeling of death that came to her from his side of the connection, but knew she had gained control.

Orian it was. He shiftedm turning into a shadow as he could only do within 24 hours of feeding, and found his way to where his ally was being held. He asessed the situation.

XD I wsn't sure. It seemed to me Orian went and skipped time forward so he (*must go and check is writer is a girl, so is sticking to character name* =P) could post. Bella and Thyme went along with it, so the battle was sort of bypassed. >.< If there aren't any objctions we can rewind it back to this point:

Orian has been knocked out and tied up, Thyme and Bella hurry back to the battle, Robin sitting stunned in a room.

Or we can pretend of course that this was just the first wave of attack, and there is another coming that we weren't expecting. Yes?

I know. I am a wellspring of ideas. =P Let us carry on then. I'd think the second wave would show up in a little while, rather than right away(since they wouldn't know the first wave failed?). They might be waiting for word from their leader, so probably leave it up to one of the baddies (Orian?) to introduce them.

(OK)

~Aedomir

He looked around. They had been defeated. Surely, this couldn't be it? Perhaps it was. He relished the thought for a moment and sheathed his crimson sword. Hurrying around the town, he saw bodies, friend and foe, scattered helplessly over the floor.

The dead. None of his men were hurt, thankfully. But the guards were. The back wall was still alight, flaming into the night sky.

Orain

The guard snorted at me, "If you honestly think that I'm going to be dumb enough to speak to you, you've got know clue about how real guards work. We're much smarter than your goblins."

I shrugged, "I wouldn't be able to do much anyway, not with my hands tied."

He grinned darkly, "So I could beat you senseless and you wouldn't be able to do anything about it."

"I don't think I'd be too inclined to share any information with you people if you treated me that way."

He frowned, "What information?"

I shrugged, "Who the new commander is, when the rest of the force is going to attack, et cetera."

He whitened a little, "Rest of the force?"

I smiled smugly, leaning back in my chair, "Oh yes, did you seriously believe that that was all we could muster? We wouldn't have really been seen as a threat under those circumstances. What you fought today was but a tiny fraction of our main force."

He backed away a little, "I should tell someone..."

"Yes, go now before it's too late! By the way, could you leave me my staff just before you go? I wouldn't want to leave that behind."

He growled, "I guess I'll just have to bring you with me then."

I smiled, "Very well." He untied me from the chair, leaving my hands bound, and grabbed me by the arm to pull me to my feet. Almost immediately, I let off a mind control spell.

There was something stopping the spell though. The force of the charm hammered at my mind, driving me to my knees with a yell of pain. The girl! It stank of her. I will have you for this, woman!

The guard smirked, kicking me in the gut, "Did you think I'd fall for that trick. Why would anyone bother throwing magic at you in here? You're a lot dumber than I thought." I gasped for air, hating everyone who came to mind for my predicament. Thyme, the girl, the guard, all of them. The guard pulled me back to my feet, dragging me out of the tent as I tried to get my energy back.

The enemy soldiers laughed at me as my captor dragged me across the compound. Once I was sure I was out of the range of the charm, and once I had my energy back, I allowed myself a twisted smile. One of the soldiers stopped laughing, "Hey, why is he smiling?"

The man holding me looked at me with a confused look, "What's going on?"

I pulled myself upright, still grinning, "You never should have taken me out of that tent." With a burst of mental magic, I forced him to cut my bonds, then let a massive ring of fire shoot out from me.
