"For the last time this is the way!" Kit yelled at Mystic.

"And for my last time you are not! This is the way that the other people were!" Mystic hissed from my shoulder. Kit hissed right back as she tumbled through the bushes. Sure enough Mystic was right. All of the other people were there. The weird guy was a crocodile, there was a new girl, and all the others.

We were all standing in the clearing quite silent until two others made themselves present. The djini now in the form of an alligator began to trod off. I hastily caught up with him and blocked his path. The djini snapped at my feet before turning back into the young boy. By now I should have been used to things changing form but I still took a step back when the djini shifted.
"can I help you?" he said annoyed.
"did you kill my parents?" I said defiantly not sure I was ready ffor this battle if he was.

I ran to catch up to Nic and Bria. Nic had changed forms when Bria walked in front of him. I had the feeling this couldn't end well...

"Did you kill my parents?" Bria snapped, obviously hurt be even thinking about it. I knew he couldn't have, even before he answered. I had been following him for years...long enough that if he had, I would know. Unless...I might have missed it....I listened for his answer.

Nic-

I rolled my eyes. "Yes, i killed your parents. Duh."

I girl blinked, then her eyes hardened and her fists clenched.

I laughed. "Again, you people ASSUME to much! No, i didn't kill your parents, but there you went, assuming i did. Why do us Djinni have such a bad reputation? What did we ever do wrong!? YOU people are the ones who enslaved us in the first place! You brought this madness upon yourselves."

I saw the anger in Nic's eyes, and it frightened me. I had seen a Djinni go into a fit of rage before--knew what could happen. But I also knew that Nic wasn't a "normal" Djinni. I had listened to his opinion, and wasn't going to assume that he was going to attack anyone. I did, however, think it in our best interest to calm him down a bit...just to be safe.

"Nic," I said quietly, walking toward him. Magic radiated from his body like heat from a fire. Perhaps he wouldn't be able to control it...perhaps he would injure someone. "I suggest you leave," I said to Bria. She was mad, but not mad enough to see what Nic was like when mad. She backed away, watching us from afar.

"Nic," I said again, reaching out to touch his arm. "Calm down," I whispered this, weaving magic into my words.

Kit stood up and brushed her clothes off. "Most people assume it's a djinni that did something because it is most of the time." She said trying to keep her voice from breaking as she turned back towards the forest but stood still waiting for him reply.

I saw the girl stand up, speaking slowly. "Most people assume it's a djinni that did something because it is most of hte time." I clenched my teeth, wanting to shoot a spell at her back that very instant.

I knew they were wrong...all of them. I knew that some djinni were horribly bitter, for obvious reasons. If I had been locked up and forced to serve a race incompitant and powerless compared to me, I would be bitter as well! Nic was clenching his teeth as well...I waited for him to speak.

I ground my teeth together in incompetent fury. These stupid, mortal beings always ASSUME! Before they have facts! And then they blame us, the Djinni, because of the very few among us who don't like to follow orders. And hey, who could blame them!? I never followed orders, and i got out of slavery. Now sure, some of the stories you hear about nowadays are about me, they just gave credit to someone else. Who else would really be smart enough to poison the Great emperor of...oh, i forget the name now. Somewhere.

I tried to find a form suitable to my rage. I finally picked a huge bear because they're fearful and viscous...or at least my bear was.

"You are wrong, all of you! The stories you hear of of misbehaving demons comes from only a few among our race. I admit, i have disobeyed many a order from my masters, but i got out of it. You mortals could do yourselves a favor and just not summon those Djinni! Summon ones who listen!" i roared.

"And for the sake of all things living and dead, stop ASSUMING so much, and then blaming it all on US! We did nothing wrong! It was you!"

In my rant, i had gone to standing on only two feet. Now i dropped back down to four with a soft thud on the damp grass, staring around in fury. I could not remember a time (recently) when i had been so mad.

I stepped back, away from the large bear. This was a bit frighting...

The others in the clearing were whispering among themselves, many of them opposing what Nic had said.

"He's right, you know," I added, loud enough they could hear. I kept my voice even. "As a mortal, I assumed too much. Now, as an immortal, I have noticed much more. Assuming causes most battles, most wars. Most hatefulness is caused because both parties assume something about the others. Tis quite ridiculous actually. And the few Djinni that do revolt have good reason to do so! As humans, you consider yourself the upper race, and try to overpower all others! Djinni are stronger than humans could ever hope to be, and don't you dare argue!" I had seen someone go to speak. "If humans were stronger than Djinni, why would they constantly summon them?"

I wasn't sure what I was saying, but knew that I was furious. The magic tingled in my fingertips, causing them to glow a faint, blue-ish color. I knew this wasn't a good thing...

I had angered the djinni and he transformed into a bear. But I saw the truth in his eyes when he denied being my parents killer. I took a step towards the djinni still in the form of a bear.
"I believe you." I took another step forward and he growled, "and I hear and understand why you are upset. Unfortunatly I can't make the whole work stop assuming. But I can call a truce and ask you for your help."

As my anger died down, it was replaced with undying sadness. Sadness of what I had seen over my life: Death, anguish, torment, sorrow...

I slowly transformed into a young, sad eyes boy of about ten years old. He only wore a pair of too-tight, ripped shorts. I stared up at the girl in front of me.

"Of course you need my help. Humans can't do anything without a Djinnis help, or Demons, as most of your kind calls us. No, we are summoned...enslaved without a second thought and forced against our will to serve you, do your dirty work, to clean up after you, to fight wars for you, to kill for you, to DIE for you. And what do we get in return?"

My voice remained calm and steady throughout my small speech. Now i dropped it to a faint whisper.

"We got nothing. Nothing. And here you are, hoping to enslave me again after i have rightly earned my freedom. You have no idea what i had to do to get this, and you never will. And out of all the masters i had, there was only one i had a tiny amount of respect for, and he is long dead. And from all the others, I got Nothing."

*fine, Allen. I'll do this myself. And if it doesn't go the way you want it, then this that not my fault.*
Kira-
I watched as the guy carried her down the street, walking strait past the hospital. My stomach growled, and I lost concentration. Loosing concentration while in animal form is bad. Very bad. Especially when your a pigeon and a few stories off the ground.I felt myself changing into myself. "Bluebird!" I screamed. And this time I changed into a cat. Which is good, considering cats always land on their feet.

Impact hurt, as it could be imagined. I limped off to an alley before I changed out of cat form.

My stomach growled once again. The girl was gone. That meant that I was going to have to go to the forest for food.

The djinni was even more angry now. I needed him to calm down so I could talk to him, reason with him. He was in the form of a young boy wearing ripped shorts, like a ghost from the past I wouldn't allow myself to recall. I shrugged off a shudder and made sure my voice was calm and even before I spoke. When I did speak it was in a whisper.
"I am sorry," I said, "for how you have been wronged. I am also sorry that I offened you." I leaned down until I was at his eye level, "I do not wish to imprison you, I dont even think I am capable of that. I am simply asking for your help. I am a mortal, the little magic I have I can't control. Even if by some chance I even found the djinni that killed my parents I would never be ready to fight it. I understand if you dont want to help me but if you did I would be eternally in your debt."

I made my face as emotionless as i could, even though i was boiling under the surface. I looked up at the girl again.

"What exactly do want my help with and for?" i asked, switching into a black panther again. My tail swished lazily on the ground.
