Senra listened to the news, so the war was going to start. She shivered at the thought. She didn't belong here, she belonged back home looking for the cave her mother had said a dragon's egg would be in. She shook her head, no now that she was here she would have to stay and help. The dragon looked to be having a hard time keeping his form.

"Wh...why don't we go outside, where there is room to breath?" She asked in a weak voice. The guy with wings looked at her confussed but they all went outside. The dragon stayed inside for a few minutes.

"I spotted them only a few hours ago over the pass. I got here as soon as I can."

He motioned his hand towards the hill he had spotted the enemy from. "Sir, what do you want us to do?"

He brandished his sword, grinning. "Do you wish us to fight?"
if you were to die today, would you be able to tell yourself that you did everything you wanted and everything you could?

Nyugan shot the boy a startled, hard stare.

"No! Not unless they attack us!" he snapped, more sternly than he had intended. He shook his head, trying to keep his breath steady. Focus, focus...maintain control. Keep your hold... "I will not use force unless absolutely necessary."

The boy reluctantly returned the sword to its sheath.

Nyugan sighed; he had never come so close to losing control of spell...not since he had been a fledgeling.

This is not good. Am I losing my touch? Or is this situation finally taking its toll on me?

A low shouting sound could be heard from her temporary resting place, and it sounded vaguely familiar. She craned her neck towards the direction from which it had come, then back to the Elven girl which she had just spoken to a few moments ago.

I'm sorry, but I must depart. I fear my presence is needed amongst the caves. I wish thee well. If ever in need, come visit me in the abandoned castle deep within the mountains. With that, she slowly spread her large wings, careful not to knock the girl down. With one large thrust, she was lifted into the air, and soon out of the girls sight.

She flew until she reached the caverns, and could see Nyugan in his other form; His body shuddered occasionally as he spoke. Jade brought herself to a slow soar and perched herself atop the cave as to give the others room.Nyugan...enjoying company without me? She shook her wings and tucked them snugly against her body, a smile forming in her thoughts as she spoke to him.

Nyugan looked up at the sound of her voice in his mind.

"Jade, how nice of you to join us!" he called, relaxing a little. "But tell me this: why do you always show up when I'm a nervous reck?"

He couldn't help but smile back; he always teased the sow like this. But that was all he would be able to harass her with. She had to know the truth.

"Jade...we may be going to war," he spoke up, gritting his teeth when he shivered again. Damn it all! Stay calm. Stay calm. Relax. He looked at the pass the messenger had indicated. "We have Solvyeran scouts nearby."

'Tis your times of distress that pull most fiercely at senses...You are also very loud. She grinned, her large teeth creeping out from behind her lips. And yes, so I have heard of this war. The scouts; I have seen them as well. Need I remind you that I take no sides in this war, merely offer my words of wisdom to those who seek it.

He nodded, "Yes, yes, of course. I am aware of that." He replied, his body shuddering yet again.

Nyugan, I shall only tell you once: you stay like that for long and your body will hurt itself trying to get back. Make haste, and remove yourself from the close range of the smaller ones before you turn back, or they will be hurt too.

Neither- Ariel:

I watched as the shimmering form of the dragon disapeared over the treetops.

"...wait...?" i called lamely. I was heard by no one but myself.

"Drat," i muttered. "Now what?"

I began to wander again.

Solyver- Thyme:

Scouts on the Catore border? This was new news.

"Do we have a battle plan? Will it be full on attack? Or ambush? Will we siege them?" i asked, folding my arms across my chest. I waited for Goron's answer.

Catore- Gabriel:

I recognized the signs as the great dragon's shape began to flicker and shudder violently.

"Fresh air sounds nice..." i muttered, backing out of the cave, dragging the girl and other angel with me.

"Wha-"

"Not now. We need to be out of the cave. Come on."

Taren nodded in agreement with the dragon. "Indeed. Be careful sir. We do not need you injured at such a perilous time."

His eyes cast downward, looking guiltily at the ground. "I must also apologize for my suggestion. It was... out of place, and I let my emotions take the best of me. What can I do to assist you further?"

Senra breathed in the fresh air and sighed it felt good outside and was much brighter then inside the cave.

"Save the apologizes for later, give him some space and get out here." Gabriel called to Taren. Senra looked around where they were and spotted an elf just inside the woods. She just stood there watching. Senra followed where the girl was looking and saw the other dragon that had appeared, it was beautiful, no doubt.

Nyugan sighed as the others quickly retreated from the cave.

I suppose I've no other choice...Jade is right. If I fight this any longer, I could do more than injure myself. I could very well die. He let the next shudder wipe away his focus, releasing his control completely.

With a startled roar, his body abruptly expanded and rearranged, the brown wings and a long tail sprouting back into place. He stood there, eyes closed for a moment, as the throbbing of the transformation gradually dulled and disappeared.

So this is what it feels like to lose control. It's EMBARRASSING, being unable to maintain my control as well as I would like! A snarl grew in his chest. Why am I faltering NOW, fifty years overdue for such mistakes?!

"Sir?" Taren asked, anxious by his tone.

Nyugan looked up, and heaved another sigh. I'm fine. Just...annoyed. He turned and strode out of the cave, clearing it in four steps. The bright morning sun reflected brilliantly against his gold scales. Lead me to these scouts.

Just as everyone turned to follow Taren, Nyugan spotted her. A girl...a young elf standing in the trees, looking at where Jade had flown to. He stopped and felt for her mind, finally getting a grasp on it. Hello, there.

*Solvyer

Goron tilted his head so he could look at her clearly.

Would that be a wise decision? What say YOU? SHOULD we attack, knowing full well that Nyugan will respond, using only a fraction of his strength and yet STILL able to crush our first attempt at war?

He waited, itching for her response.

I think a chance to lead will do you good...how about that? It's your call, Thyme.

Myrth watched as Nyugan exited the cave. With a sigh he looked up at the sky. This is taking a tool at everyone. He looked everyone over and sighed again, "I'll go take care of the scouts. This possible war seems to be getting on everone's nerve."

"No, not alone." Barked Nyugan. "It's too dangerous."

"Don't worry, I'm just a simple traveler." He looked up and smile. The dragon nodded seeing where he was coming from. he looked like a simple wanderer. Pulling his cloak over his head Myrth made his way down the ravine.
I will always fight back, no matter what.

Taren spotted the elven girl as well. He looked up at their leader, and knew he was already trying to communicate with the girl. Sighing, He wandered over to the one called Senra.

"War is inevitable." He said, sparing no small talk. "Whether he wants it or not, he needs to stop procrastinating on calling together the army."

She looked at him, startled by his acknowledgment. "Eh? W-what?"

Taren chuckled. "Don't be so stiff. You are among friends here. Understand that, and you will find peace even in a time of war."

"I will go help him." Sinra piped up. The dragon didn't like the idea, at least didn't seem to but she went. She knew how to keep quiet and hidden, she had done it sense her mother had died. She quickly sped up to the other guy being as quiet as she could. Her eyes scanned everything. She kept up with Myrth's quick past easily. She didn't say anything, if he wanted to talk she would talk but she was focused now. She wanted to prove that she wasn't some scared little girl. Ok maybe when she saw a dragon for the first time sense her mother's death was kinda frightening, but she wasn't going to show fear again.

Nyugan shook his head at the two. Foolish youths...that's what they were. Did they even know who and how many they were up against?

Taren, I'll be following them shortly. Stay here so that I can relay information back to you and to give you further instruction.

"Yes, sir."

Nyugan groaned. And please stop calling me sir! It is only polite, yes, but I prefer you just call me Nyugan.

Nyugan turned his attention back to their new arrival, reconnecting with her mind.

Kaile - Solvyer

She watched as two travelers went passed and she breathed a sigh of relief.
Now it was time for her to report back, she had seen no one in the woods for several days now and Goron would want to know that.

She pulled her hood even closer and spead her wings wide as she launched herself off the branch and into the empty sky towards the caves.

She arrived faster than she had thought she would and she paused for a moment ontop of the cave as she heard voices from inside. She leaned out over the entrance trying to hear better.

There was a crack and the roof fell in. She landed on the hard stone floor and cursed loudly. Then she spotted the figures staring at her. And she swallowed.

“Such nonsense!" declared Dr Greysteel. "Whoever heard of cats doing anything useful!" "Except for staring at one in a supercilious manner," said Strange. "That has a sort of moral usefulness, I suppose, in making one feel uncomfortable and encouraging sober reflection upon one's imperfections.”
