Wrath of the Dragons

Yep, time for yet another dragon storybook!

In Eudocrea, there are three clans: the Catore - rulers of Light, the Solvyer - rulers of Darkness, and then – of course – neither - who are neutral as far as the war goes. All three consist of dragons, elves, other creatures, and humans alike, all living under the same basic rituals and habits. The only problem: war is brewing between the Catore and Solvyers. Will you fight, or will you be among the neutral forces that will try to stop this war from starting?


Right…now the ridiculous rules.

1. No god-moding. If I see a Mary Sue, I will kill you off and make you start again!
2. You can have three characters: one for each force. But, when you post, make sure to specify which team you’re responding to.

3. You can have magic, but if you’re human, you must learn it first! Have an elf or a dragon train you! If you are an elf or dragon or other magical creature, you can only start off with a scarce amount of magic. You can start using more and bigger spells as the story progresses.

4. No killing off other characters unless they say you can!

5. I will determine who moves up in rank. Yes, there will be ranks. The higher rank you have, the more likely you are to take my job as clan leader.

6. If you are a dragon, you can choose a Rider. BUT the Rider must be an elf or human you develop a friendship with as the book progesses.

7. If you are a dragon, you will eventually be able to take human forms. BUT that ability will only become active after I say it is active.

8. If, at any time after you have gained the Colonel rank, you wish to challenge the leader of your team (Goron or Nyugan, which I control both), challenge them to a duel! Let the smartest and most skilled win!

Appearance- enormous: 54 feet tall, 108 feet long, 108 foot wingspan, about 40,000 pounds; golden body with brown wings, underside, and eyes; has a long scar down right foreleg and shoulder; as a human: golden blonde, shoulder length hair; brown eyes; a scar down left arm; slightly pointed ears, like an elf
Biography- Was the late emperor’s dragon. He is known fairly well for his power and size.

Age- about 75 years (about 18 in dragon years)

Appearance- 47 feet tall, 94 feet long, 141 foot wingspan, about 33,000 pounds; black body with red wings, underside, and purple eyes; has a scar across left side of face, blinding him in the left eye
Biography- Was the late emperor’s son’s dragon-to-be. Some say he went crazy when he turned on the Royal Family and destroyed the majority of the capital city.
Magical Element(s)- Dark, Fire, and Earth
Other- is the Team Leader for the Solvyer

Bio- He's one of the best assassins in the land. The Solvyer hired him soley for taking out big leaders on the enemies side. He can track a man for days without pause. Alath can shoot a man with an arrow from a great distance away. No one really knows where he came from. Some say the devil had a son, thus bringing Alath to life. Others say his family was killed and he was raised by demons. Most don't care where he came from as long as he doesn't come after them.

Appearance- Wears a black cloak and a red belt. Has a large sword and some throwing knives. His face is clean shaven. Alath's hair is black with white steaks.

Magic- None, but has mastered a little bit of the element of stealth

Other- Does not care who wins the war as long as he gets his way

Biography- His parents were murdered when he was only 12. His mother was a elf, father a human. He travels the land looking for a purpose.

Biography- orphan, wanders alone looking for somewhere to stay every night. Never really made any ties, and doesn't talk much, she used to take care of her mothers dragon before her mother was killed. SHe never knew her father, and if he is still alive she could probably care less.

Magical elements- Her mother and her mother's dragon taught her everything she knows

Other- She is roaming , She will join either side and I'm all up for her being a rider.

Meaning of Name: Lion of God
Age: 71 (12 in elf years)
Gender: Female
Race/Breed: Elf
Second Form: Leopard
Appearance: She is relatively tall, graceful, and stronger than she looks. Her eyes change from amber brown to emerald green (depending on her mood). Her hair is a dirty blond with more brown than actual blond. She normally keeps it pinned up loosely, letting wisps fall down to her shoulders. She is naturally tan and has a slim and graceful build. In her second form, she is a slim and silky leopard that stands to about thigh level. The tuffs of her ears and the tip of her tail is black.
Personality: She is timid and shy and doesn’t like to draw attention to herself. Fiercely independent, loyal, trustworthy, charming, witty, and curious. She has a nasty temper but it takes a lot to get her fired up. She is all for creating peace. Wise beyond her age/looks, she holds a deep understanding of the world and the beings that inhabit it.
Biography: She was orphaned at the age of 24 (3 in elf years) and was brought up by the fourth in command in the Neither team. Now she lives among them as one of them.
Magical Element(s): She has a minor control over wind and earth magic. Can also semi control the rare wild magic, but isn’t very good at it yet; she’s still learning.
Other: She wasn’t born in the Neither team. She was born in the Solyver team, but when her parents died, she decided to switch over.

Name: Thyme (Yes, like the spice)
Meaning of Name: NightStalker
Age: 92 (21 Wolf Years)
Gender: Male
Race/Breed: Dire Wolf (A huge wolf that stands from 10 feet in height anywhere up. They have wings)
Appearance: Human- Tall with a slim, graceful and strong build. He is muscular but not bulky. His eyes are black speckled with an electric blue. His facial features are sharp and precise and he has permanent scowl lines across his forehead. His hair is jet black with blue and silver highlights (natural) and it’s straight and short. Wears black or red clothing with a black cloak and a hood.
Dire Wolf- A huge wolf that stands 41 feet high and 82 feet long from nose to tail. He still has his slim, graceful but strong look. His fur is a lush black with silver and blue running through it, making wild looking symbols and designs all over his body. The tip of his tail and the tuffs of his ears are silver, as is his muzzle. His eyes are almost exactly the same, except they have a red tint to them. His face has a wild, feral look to it. He has wings that are long (90 foot wingspan) and black. Again, he has silver designs and symbols running through the feathers. The tips are red.
Personality: He is cunning, sarcastic, bold, defensive, independent, and bitter. He can be cruel and merciless when the need arises. He doesn’t take well to strangers and can seem the meanest, cruelest, coldest, most heartless being to ever walk the world when he wants. He can also be charming when he wants. He has a mischievous streak and can be really witty.
Biography: He was born and raised in the Solyver team. He didn’t have the best of childhoods. His father left when he was still very young after his mother died.
Magical Element(s): He has a mild control over Dark/Black Magic, as well as Fire and Ice.
Other: Has no close friends.

Meaning of Name: Lightbearer
Age: 22 in human/angel years

Race/Breed: Angel
Appearance: Tall, graceful and slim, he carries the air of peace, power, promise, and goodness. His eyes are the color of the sky after a storm; blue-gray. His hair is a golden blond that flows elegantly down to his shoulders and is wavy. His facial features are soft, giving him a look of kindness and wisdom. He wears white clothes, usually robes. He has a white cape with gold embroidery that he wears, also, and usually keeps the hood up. His wings are long (20 foot wingspan) and they are pure white with silver tips.
Personality: He is quiet and reserved, but courageous, and bold. He is very trustworthy, noble, loyal, and fun to be around. He can make just about everyone smile if he really tries. He is curious and wise, giving good advice when it’s needed. He is kind, compassionate, and understanding.
Biography: He keeps his history to himself. He came to the Catore team seven years ago.
Magical Element(s): He has a mild control over Light/White Magic, as well as Water, Air, and Healing.
Other: He has an amazing voice and is good with jokes. Loves entertaining people.

Nyugan stood in the shadows of his cave, absentmindely looking out across the frozen valley. Life was always harsh in the north, and winter only promoted the hostile conditions.

Yet another day to live through, a day closer to deciding whether to go to war or not. The sound of dragonlings wrestling broke his train of thought, but he soon forgot about them. And another day to look for a Rider...and, ergo, a new emperor.

He flexed his wings, the tips of them brushing against the cool stone as he stretched, preparing for a flight at dawn.


*Solvyer*

Goron snarled, driving his claws deeper and deeper into the stone. Nyugan had always been careful; why did he take so long to decide? Would the beast really leave the choice of war to Goron?

Of course, if I had my way, ALL of them would be dead be now! The dragon shook his head, glaring at his forces far below him with his one good eye. If only I had the right people beneath me!

But, then again, who knows? Maybe I'll find the few leaders I need. Leaders who won't turn and run when they see me or Nyugan...leaders who will fight to the death, fight to kill...

Nyugan, your time is coming.

Goron spun around, tail flying wildly, as he picked his way down the slope and back into the many chambers of the extinct volcano.


All right, your turn!

Senra yawned, she was tired of napping and the sun was coming up, she always slept when it was day outside. She felt safer that way. She saw a cave up ahead and headed that way. When she walked in she didn't notice the markings of a dragon, she was to tired. She heard a noise and looked up and nearly screamed at the site of the huge dragon in front of her. His brown eyes looked her over as she scrambled backwards.

"Sorry.....sorry." She stuttered as she stumbled back and fell over a rock.

Catore - Gabriel:

I walked absently, my head bowed in deep thought. As always, my mind was on the seemingly inevitable war that soon approached. I wonder what Nyugan would choose... surely not war...?

A small scream coming from Nyugan's cave drew me out of my thoughts immediately. I opened my wings, using them as lift as i raced towards the opening in the rock face in front of me.

I entered the cave and stopped, staring in confusion at the sight in front of me. A girl- a stranger- was scrambling away from Nyugan, towards me. Apparently she hadn't noticed me yet...


Neither - Ariel:

I walked silently through the forest, watching as birds twittered over my head and squirrels skittered through the branches. It was so nice here, so tranquil. It was impossible to believe that war was gathering on the horizon...


Solyver - Thyme:

Trudging dully through the thick mud that covered the training fields, i made my way to Goron's quarters. The Catore's were slowly beginning to rally their forces together and i wanted to see if Goron had made up his mind. The prospect of battle made me smile with anticipation.

Skillfully scaling the sheer rock wall up to Goron's chambers, i quietly entered the caves...

Senra spun around to leave the dragons cave before she angered him and froze stiff. This just wasn't her day. There in front of her stood a man, wings shooting out of his back. A hood covered most of his face but it was his wings that stunned her, a pure white with silver tips. Her mother had told her about angels but hadn't told her they were this majestic.

"I.....I didn't mean to....I didn't know there was..." She stuttered, she ran past him only to trip over another stone.

Myrth traveled the wood rather then by road. He found it peaceful and relaxing. Nothing but the sound of his boots below him, the birds singing, and the cool brisk wind growing ever colder. Pulling his cloak closer he continued up the hill.

In his mind he went over the note he was given back in town. War is among us. The Solyver wish to cut across the landscape with an iron fist. Will you fight with us. If not for us for those you love. Protect the land if nothing else, save Eudocrea.

Myrth sighed, he hated war, but he can't let the Solyver ruin all the hard work the people of this word have completed. Rebuilding after the last great war was costly, they can't take another one.

At last Myrth reached the cave he was to report to, but he heard a scream. He rushed up to see a giant dragon hover over a young girl, an elf. She ran into another woman and went to run away, but tripped over a large stone. Myrth caught her with one arm, "You should watch your step miss."

Senra jumped up and away from the man that had caught her when she tripped, "I..." she looked around, the dragon was sitting back now watching with what looked like an amused smile on its face. The man with the wings was doing the same thing, his wings folded back. "I should go." She couldn't make her feet move though. She had never been this afraid around anyone. Her mother had told her not to desterb a dragon in its cave. Especially not one you didn't know, but what had she done, the exact thing her mother had told her not to and now she had made herself look like a total fool too. And to top it all off she was to scared and shocked to move.
