The Random Vampire Story [1]

Colt-

Colt helped her on the bus and they got closer to Slade's.

"H-have you ever used your fangs on someone?" She asked, he laughed a little.

"I have to drink blood to live. That is another thing that comes with the fangs." He replied softly.

"But just to bite someone?" She asked,

"NOt that I can think of, no." He replied.

"Oh," Caiden said her hands shaking a bit. "What exactly are you?"

"A vampire."

Caiden felt like she was going to faint, this was way too much today and she couldn't remember the last time she ate. She let out a small laugh, of course she couldn't remember, it had been in over a day."

"Hey where've ya guys been?" Slade asked.

"We've got a problem," Colt said.

Colt-

"What?" Slade demanded looking at Caiden. Colt felt her lean against him tiredly. He picked her up quickly and looked at her eyes.

"Go turn the light on in our room." He said slowly lulling Caiden to sleep. She was fighting it though. "Just go to sleep, you need it." He said softly. When seh had finally went to sleep he laid her on the bed and explained everything to Slade. He looked her over and tried a few spells. His face went pale.

"Whats wrong?" colt demanded.

"It isn't working. I would see the memories in her head, they just aren't there." Slade said sadly. Colt sank down onto the bed,

"Your joking, please tell me you are joking."

So that's what he meant when he said he could force her to sleep, well she was awake now. She opened her eyes and met the sun. She felt rested, but annoyed.

For some reason she knew he was there, "that was a mean trick," she grumbled but pulled hte blanket over her head anyways.

Colt-

"Would you have gone to sleep any other way?" Colt asked looking at her. He gently tried to pull the covers from over her head. "YOu slept for three days. Now you need food. Wait here." He went to the kitchen and quickly mixed some food together bringing it back to her and settign it on the bed next to her.

Caiden wanted to protest him doing this for her, but as soon as the smell of eggs and bacon and everything on the plate got to her and she ate, almost ravenously but she managed to keep a slowish pace.

She was surprised that she was still hungry when she was done. Had it really been so long since she had eaten? Oh well, she was more concerned about why she still couldn't remember.

"Why can't I remember anything yet?" she said, "can't he help me?"

Colt's face was solem.

Colt-

"N-no, Slade said hat it w-was such a powerful spell that he can't change it back." He sighed softly not looking at her. He wanted to cry for the first time in years. But he didn't. "But we'll have to find another way to fix this." He smiled.

Caiden felt the color drain from her face and she sank back into the pillow and sighed. In that instant she gave up her hope.

She looked at Colt, his faced looked pained, more than the pain expressed by his voice but a physical pain. Getting up she crossed over to where he was sitting and sat on his lap and wrapped her arms around him.

"I will keep my promise Caiden," he said, "I will make you remember."

"Is it anything like the same way you made me sleep?"

"No, I have no clue how to do it though."

She gave him a quick kiss, "I trust you." She felt herself slip a little and gripped at the chair arms. Something sliced her finger, "shoot," she said and looked up at him.

Colt-

Colt swallowed hard and tried to force himself to not breath as she raised the bleeding finger to her other hand trying to stop the bleeding. He had been by her the whole time and hadn't eaten. stupid idea he hissed at himself.

Her scent filled his lungs and he tried to fight it, but he couldn't. He saw his hands pull her close and her neck near his lips, but he couldn't stop it. Her blood soon touched his tounge. STOP he yelled at himself but he couldn't.

Caiden should have been afraid of what he was doing, but she wasn't, in fact it was the most comfortable and fimiliar thing in the world. When he finally forced his mouth away he picked her up and carried her to the kitchen, he sat her on the counter and made her drink a whole glass of water. She tried to hop down to walk somewhere, she didn't knwo where but her legs grew weak beneath her and she collapsed.

Colt caught her and carried her back to bed, "No," she said "I don't want to sleep again, ever since we sent that wizard to kill my boss we have been sleeping a lot."

But soon she knew she was about to. IF she hadn't been too tired she would have realized that she realized that she remembered it.

Colt-

Colt laid her on the bed, "You remembered." He gasped, but she was already asleep. He looked at her surprised. He smiled and kissed her forehead. He laid down next to her and started stroking her hair. "I love you, my sweet angel." He wispered into her hair.

Caiden woke again this time, with Colt's arms tight around her. She smiled and snuggled into him.

"Good morning...or afternoon, or night, whatever it is," she murmered.

"Good after noon," he said kissing her forehead.

She smiled. "So how long was I asleep this time?"

"Only eight hours."

"Okay good."

"How do you feel?"

Colt-

"Better." She smiled,

"Good, I need to drink." He smiled, "Wanna come or are you still human?"

Caiden blinked, "human? Ovbiously I don't remember that."

"Ovbiously you're still human...hm..."

Colt-

"So, do you want to be a vampire again, this might be the last chance you get to chose." He smiled looking at her. "You think on it, I need to go get something to drink."

He left her to think.
