The Random Vampire Story [1]

Caiden's breath caught in her throat, how big did they make it?

"I-I don't know," she stuttered.

"We're trapped."

Caiden spun around when she heard something comming from inside the house. "I think they're coming out."

Colt-

"They smelled us." COlt breathed, "Let's find somewhere to hide, not that it will help a whole lot but we have to figure out what we are going to do."

Caiden's mind was all in a spin as they rushed to the only place they could hide, the basement window. They slid inside and shut it tight behind them, locking the window and hurrying into a far back room and throwing some old water or something or other into the old room to throw off their scent.

Locking and shoving a chair in front of the other door they backed against the farthest corner.

Colt-

"Um, we're gonna need to take em out one by one, or wait til they, or us get hungry enough to..." He stopped midsentence.

"To what?" Caiden demanded,

"Die." He barely whispered the word.

Caiden's breath caught in her throat, "I'd rather not face them, but dying sounds awfly bad too..." A sudden wave of fatigue hit her and she fought to keep her eyes open.

"You look tired," Colt commented wearily himself.

"So do you. But it might not be the best idea for sleep right now."

Colt-

"No it wouldn't be." Colt sighed, "We need to find a way to kill them. First by getting them seperated from each other, but keepign each other close. There has to be a way to get ahold of Brenty and Slade too though."

"Lets figure that out later and go deal with these guys." Caiden sighed, they slowly made their way out of the basement to run into the smaller of the vampires. Colt jumped onto him before he could yell and grabbed his kneck. He quickly snapped it and looked at Caiden.

"Drink as much as you can from him. When you've had your fill tell me." He said motioning to Caiden. "He wont be able to move for a few minutes so hurry."

Caiden bent her head and sank her fangs into the vampire's neck. She drank fast, but the vampire's blood was thick and it slowed her down quite a bit. She felt him start to stuggle and she pulled back just in time to see Colt impale the man. vampire she corrected herself.

With a new stregnth and awareness that had flooded her senses she helpped Colt hide the body in the closet in the back room and settled themselves against the wall where they had sat before.

"I'm awake now," Caiden said, "you get some sleep."

Colt-

Colt was about to argue, but his eye lids were heavy. He slowly lowered his head onto her shoulder and closed his eyes.

I sat there with Colt leaned against me feeling both content and terrified. I always seemed so content when he was touching me, and that feeling didn't go away even though I was petrified.

I suddenly felt Colt stiffen and open his eyes. Pure blood-lust raidiated off of him.

Colt-

Colt looked around, he needed blood, he needed it now. But Caiden was the only one in the room. He should've drank from that other vampire too, but he wanted to spare Caiden.

"Are you alright?" Caiden asked, but she knew very well that he wasn't. She brushed her hair away and leaned her neck back. No words were needed.

Colt-

COlt fought the urge to drink from her neck, but the blood lust took over and he did. As soon as they blood lust was gone he pulled away. He wouldn't drink any more from her then he needed to. He wouoldn't do that to her.

Caiden

I felt dizzy and dieorented and glad I was already dead. I felt the need to walk around the room once just to see if I could. I tried to stand and felt my legs wobble and buckle beneath me. I collapsed into Colt's lap.

"I'm sorry," Colt said tucking a peice of hair behind my ear.

"I'm fine," I assured him, "I'm already dead remember? I just feel a little dizzy."

colt-

"You shouldn't have let me do that." He said stroking her hair. "You are to young, and you already needed to drink anyway." He replied

Caiden

"You looked so miserable," she sighed, "I didn't like seeing you like that."

He continued to stroke her hair, "your turn to sleep now."

"I'm fine."
