Anderson lay on the top sobbing uncontrollably. He swung round after a while seeing everyone staring he picked up the nearest person and looked at him furiously, whispering, "Don't stare." The person sat down and turned away.

He went out the pub and shook his head as he saw everything in double, his form was unsubstained he felt himself morphing between human and demon. Anderson felt his way by the walls occasinally his fist sinking into the wall shadow. He heard many cries of alarm, but ignored them.

It was he rounded the corner he felt a hand touch his shoulder, he swung round totally ready. A girl stood there and from what she spoke she was offering to help him. Help... been so long since anyone offered him any of that. He nodded.

Senna saw the guy, Anderson, walking drunkenly down the walk way. She offered him help and he nodded. He leaned against her while she helped him out of town, and away from the stares he kept getting. Everytime he would change form, fear would run through her but she started getting used to it.

"You're Anderson, right?" She asked looking up at him. He towered over her by a foot at least.

"I...I... yeh girly I'm Andy boyo!" He slurred almost falling, and pulling her down, she steadied him and they kept going. She worked hard not to laugh.

"Where's your family, if you dont' mind me asking." She bit her lip hoping he wouldn't snap at her.

"Me Mum a whore doesn't care for funny ol' me you're pretty nice looking girly, sure ya're not a vison of my druken stupor!"

"If I was a vison I'm sure you would've fallen back there." She smiled ignoring him calling her pretty. "What about your dad?"

"Me Dad skippy do da somewhere oooh my hand grey why ya no running?"

"Running from what?" She asked confussed, maybe he was just talking silly.

"Me Daddy gone away far away, you are so beautiful." He slurred again, Senna blushed,

"That stinks, what would I be running from?" She asked again. It didn't make any sense to her though, he had wanted to kill her earlier, at least it seemed that way, and now he was flirting with her. She shook her head, males were so confussing at times.

"My skin is grey yet ya stay me confused, but liking you." He leans his head against her shoulder, Senna blushed again. She bit her lip trying to think of a way to change the subject again,

"So, why are you always so mean?" She asked, that would more then likely keep him from flirting, she thought.

"Mean me, oooh maybe I don't trust people, and considering my form I would exactly join the up with any self help groups, god ya're pretty."

"I'm sure you've said that four times already." She said, she tried again to distract him with another question. "So why don't you make any friends, I mean, someone has to be fine with how you are?"

"You don't seem to mind, anyone ever told you have nice eyes." She looked away from him and continued walking having no clue where they were going.

"No, and you don't exactly scare me so why should I mind. That how you are, period." She said looking around, "Where are we going?"

"Me no know, here there everywhere, let the night lead us."

"Oook, so.." She tried to think of another question. "Where do you live?"

"On a hill with behind the window sill?"

"Behind what?" She asked confussed, "A window sill?"

Anderson pushed into her face and kissed her flicking his tongue in and out, then pulled away, "That window sill."

Senna backed up surprised, she pulled her coat tighter on her and tried to catch her breath, she hadn't expected that. Not in the least bit, earlier he was threating her, and now, now he was kissing her. She didn't know if she should just go home now. No, she didn't want to face her foster parents, if she left she would just walk around until she knew they would be asleep.

"Want a instant replay?" He smiled his eyes some how becoming less hard.

"I'll pass on that one, but thanks." She muttered she didn't know what to do, why was he acting like this all the sudden. 'HE'S DRUNK!' A voice in her head yelled,

"Fine I'll settle for hug." He wrapped his arms around touching the small of her back, "Mmm you feel nice."

Senna shivered, she couldn't remember the last time someone hugged her, it felt weird, warm and comforting, but weird. "Thanks, I guess." She mumbled,

He held her for a while something stirring in him a feeling. He pulled away hurriedly she quietly cried out and then sighed sadly, "I... I've gotta go..."

Senna pulled her jacket tighter and quickly started walking back towards where they had come.

Anderson was so confused right now and just ran over to her and kissed her on the cheek whispering, "Thanks, not many people trust me eough to walk with."

"Your welcome, anytime you wanna walk, just let me know." She smiled faintly, she walked down away a little bit but curiosity got the best of her. She turned around and quietly followed him. She stayed far enough away to where she woudl be able to hide, but close enough to not lose him. He drunkly walked up a hill. He glanced around and she hid behind a tree. He seemed to know where he was alright. But all she saw was a bunch of trees and a hill. He curled up under a tree and fell asleep. There were branches above him to form a makeshift roof. "So you live outside?" She sighed to herself, "I'm sorry." She started back down the hill towards her foster house, she had nothing else to do now.

Standing beneath the hill, her eyes met Senna's as she came down. Senna was startled, and confused, having no idea Lucy had been following her.

"W-where did you come from?" Senna asked, still shocked.

"I was behind you the whole time." Lucy grinned, her voice was mischievous and dangerous, "I saw everything. You know, I don't think dear sweet Anderson would like it too much if you told anyone about... this." She pointed to Anderson curled beneath the tree. "If you value your life, I'd advise you to stay away from him...at least when he's sober." Lucy's malicious laugh carried out over the trees, curling around the wind.

Senna cringed, "I was just trying to help him." She was almost tongue tied in her nervousness.

"Through his eyes, you are the one who needs help." Lucy extended her vectors and wrapped them around Senna, throwing her against the tree, sending her tumbling down on top of the sleeping drunk. Lucy turned and headed back into town, maybe home. Her 'parents' didn't care.

Senna jumped up and ran as fast as she could away breathing heavily. She hadn't woken Anderson up when that girl had thrown her on him. He was too fast asleep. Her legs pumped quickly as she rushed away. 'I wont stay away just cause he's mean, he has reason to be mean. And you are one jerk.' She thought as she ran, that girl had had no business doing that, she probably hadn't heard anything that was said. And Senna was guilty of nothing, she had done nothing but help him and if he got mad at that let him. She was getting tired of being pushed around. Senna quickly pushed her anger away, she wasn't going to let it show, she wasn't going to let anyone see it. She quickly climbed a tree up to her room and climbed through the window and plopped on her bed breathing hard, she wanted to sleep more then anything right now. She thought about Anderson, he wasn't a bad kid, he couldn't be, he had just bein through hell; like her.

*Ok, so this was dying so I'm going to post on it :D, ignore the missing jacket, or use it if you want, I really dont' care :D*

Saturday

Senna woke up the sun glaring in her eyes. She slowly pulled the covers off her legs and pulled on some clean clothes letting the brightness of the sun wake her up. She shook her hair out of the braid she had put it in and then put it up into a pony tail. She went to grab her dad's jacket but it was GONE! She threw everythign off her floor and onto her bed but it wasn't there. She crawled under her bed but it wasn't there either. Tears rolled down her face as she laid on the bed again, that was all she had left of her parents, the only thing she had to remember them. She brushed the tears off her face and ran down the steps. She ran to the laundry room and looked there but it wasn't there. She spun around and ran into her foster mom.

"What are you looking for?" She demanded, "And what happened to your wrist?" Senna looked down at her wrist where Anderson had grabbed it. It was bruised,

"I dont know and I don't care, I can't find my dad's jacket." She said pushing past the lady and to the leaving room. She looked everywhere in the house but it was no where to be found. She plopped on the couch wanting to scream, she had to find that jacket. She quickly ran back up to her room and grabbed a hoody, it had a big number 7 on it. She pulled it on and it was bigger then her dad's jacket. She slipped her thumbs in the holes on the wrists of the jacket and ran down stairs, the bruise on her wrist was covered. She ran smack into her foster dad. His face turned red and she backed up, he looked drunk, and smelled like it too. He threw her against the wall and she gasped as the air was knocked out of her. She jumped up and tried to run past him but she couldn't. She felt his fist hit her shoulder, then her side, always staying away from her face so she could cover the bruises. She finnally got away and ran out of the door. She kept going her legs pumping quickly. She got a ways away and leaned against a wall gasping for air.

Lucy saw the girl from the other night run into a side-street, and lean against a building. She was exhausted, out of breath. Lucy made her way across the street, stopping at the end of the road. Looking the girl over, she reached behind her and pulled something out of her bag.

"You left this over on the hill last night." Lucy threw the girl's jacket to her. She gasped, and made a frantic effort to grab it. She almost missed it, barely catching it by a hairsbreadth. She clung to the jacket for dear life, and looked at Lucy with surprised eyes.

"Th-thank you." She muttered.

"Don't mention it." Lucy's word's were too sincere as she turned and left, heading out of the side-street, going back down town.

Skylar woke up from a sleepless night. Rubbing her eyes, she sat up on her battered couch. She turned sixteen in...she looked at her watch that was still on her wrist.

"Fifteen minutes." She said outloud. She thought of maybe taking a shower, but the water probably was freezing cold as always. She shrugged and pulled on some old jeans and a My Chemical Romance t-shirt that was a size too small, so part of her stomach was showing. She looked for a sweatshirt, but the one she found had a broken zipper. She pulled it on anyways. She slipped on some old white nikes and headed out.

She checked her watch again. 3 minutes. Why she made such a fuss was beyond her. Maybe she just didn't want to move on. The cemetary came to mind again. Would she really go? No! She didn't know this kid or anyone else. She wouldn't waste her time. She dragged her feet and wasn't paying attention, tripping over the raised sidewalk. She fell over and landed face down. Skylar groaned as she rolled over to sit on the floor. Her stomach was scratched and slightly bleeding. She rolled up her sleeve to check her watched. She had turned 16 one minute ago.

"I can already see this year is gonna be a pain in the ass." She staggered to her feet and wrapped her arms around her wound, sending pain into her system and she let out a small whine.
"After it happened I thought that I'd just try to live as normally as possible and bury it, but things like that don't stay buried. I didn't think it would, but it taints your whole life."

"Light on your feet eh?" said Max chuckling.

"Ha ha, very funny." Skyler replied.

Max looked at her stomach and saw the cut. It wasnt all that bad, but it needed to be cleaned up. He pulled an antibiotix wipe out of his pocket.

"Do you really carry those around all day?" she asked, now chuckling in return.

"You never know when there going to come in handy! Like so." her cheeks turned red, and Max laughed again.

Arianna

I awoke early and stumbled towards the bathroom where I splashed the cool, cleansing water across my face and ran the minty toothpaste across my teeth. Re-entering my room, I dressed hurriedly and then threw the windows open.

"Ari, is that you?" My mother's voice called.

"Yeah," I replied. "I'm going for a flight."

"But what about breakfast?" I ignored her protest and swept my windowsill clear. Climbing on, I leaned out of the window so that the wind could ruffle my hair and took a deep breath. I leapt out, falling rapidly but as I fell, I shifted and began to flap my wings. I fluttered out across the streets, aimlessly, until I spotted Lucy heading down town.

"Hello again!" I called, dropping lower so that I could perch upon her shoulder.

Senna watched the girl leaving. She was almost sure she hadn't left it. But she just ran it back to her house and hid it under her bed, climbing out the window. She would walk around the town, then go to the place where she was to meet someone. It couldn't hurt anything and there was no reason not too. She walked past the school. It was empty and there wasn't any movment so she kept going to the town, she walked past the hill Anderson lived on, she didn't see him, but that didn't mean he wasn't there. SHe kept walking towards the town and sighed. There wasn't much going on.

Her head jerked away from Arianna, startled for a moment. When she realized who it was, she smiled and continued walking.

"Why hello to you too." Lucy reached up and lightly flicked Ari's beak, just enough to make her wriggle it from side to side.

"Hey! What was that for?" She asked in a light, friendly tone.

"For sneaking up on me." She grinned, and half-laughed in her throat. This was the only 'person' that Lucy would socialize with on a friendly level. She wasn't sure why, but she liked this girl; maybe it had something to do with both of their interests in Drama class, or maybe just their 'differences'.

Arianna

"So where are we going?" I asked casually and felt her shoulders quiver beneath my talons as she shrugged. I tipped my head to one side and looked across at her bold, red hair. With a mischevious grin, I hopped closer and nudged one of her black ribbons with my beak.

"Careful," Lucy protested, "those are to hide my horns."

"Your horns?" I echoed, twisting my head so that I could peer beneath the black velvet and catch a glimpse of the little triangle it covered. "So that's how you control people?"

"Sort of," She replied with another grin and I found myself rooted to her shoulder, unable to even ruffle my feathers. The strange sensation of being trapped lasted just a moment before I was released.

"Hey look, isn't that Kristina?" I whispered.

Skylar smiled at the guy, Max, was it?

"So uh...what are you up to?" She asked.

"Just walking around, nothing much." He said. "What about you? Doing anything exciting?"

"No not really, just this thing kinda like my birthday...Nothing really. There's this thing at the cemetary though...some thing...I dunno...I wasn't gonna go anyways..."

"Oh yeah, I was asked to go to that too, not going though unless..."

"Hmm?"

"I'll go if you go."

"You're serious?"

"Yeah..."

"Well...sure I guess." She shrugged.

"Cool, I'll meet you there then."

"Yeah." Max started to walk away, then stopped and turned.

"Oh yeah. Happy Birthday." He called to Skylar, then headed off.

Skylar walked down the sidewalk, now feeling a lot better. She saw two girls talking, one had a crow or something on her shoulder. Skylar walked over, feeling a lot more social.

"Hey." She smiled. "Nice crow."

"It's a raven." The girl with it on her shoulder said in an almost irritated tone.

"Oh...sorry...Um...anybody going to the ceme-" She started to ask but the other girl cut her off.

"Who are you?"

"Oh I'm Skylar. What about you guys?"

She twitched at Skylar's voice, and stopped in her path.

"I'm Lucy, and this is...Destiny, my friend." She shot Arianna a hard glare to keep quiet; she didn't want this girl knowing their secrets.

"Your friend? Don't you mean pet?" Skylar asked. Lucy's face twisted in anger and she almost snarled at the girl. Skylar stumbled back a step. "Jeeze, sorry, I didn't mean it that way."

Lucy turned her head to the side and popped her neck, a large cracking noise flying out amongst them. "Have fun at your little death party." Lucy said as she made her way around Skylar, who took another step back to get out of her way. When they were out of sight and hearing distance, Lucy chuckled.

"I'm sorry, I had to." She said to Arianna.
