(Alright, I'll bring Kristina into the drama class)
**************************************

"All right class, let's go ahead and get started. I think you all can handle this." Mrs. Smith smiled as she said this. Lucy stood, and the rest of the group hesitantly followed suit.

"We'll go first, Mrs. Smith." Lucy replied, and the group sighed.

"But how should we start it?" Arianna whispered to Lucy.

"I'll start, you guys go with it." After they had put the chairs together as the outside of their small boat, Lucy stood at the front of it, one foot resting in the seat of the chair at the front of the "boat".

"Avast, me wormy mates! Looks like ye have to row harder; the storm's a brewin!" Lucy exclaimed, lips twisted down into a pirate-like grimace. The others acted as if they were rowing vigorously, and Lucy swayed with the "boat". Turning to look over her shoulder, she picked out who would "fall overboard", and saw instantly.

Facing forward, she extended her vectors behind her, grabbing Kristina, and tipped her out of the side of her chair. The girl fell against the floor with a slight thud, and Arianna shouted, "MAN OVERBOARD!!!".

Arianna

"Man overboard!" I shouted as Kristina hit the floor with a soft thud and began to wave frantically as if struggling to keep above the water. I pretended to drop my oars to the floor and leapt to the side of the 'boat' so that I could lean over and fake an attempt to grab the girl's arm.

"Mutiny!" Kristina shouted as I caught hold or her arm and held her above the 'water.'

"Aye," Lucy agreed. "Tis mutiny and I be controlling this 'ere vessel now."

"Is that so?" I demanded, hauling Kristina across the chairs and dumping her beside them before pretending to draw a sword from my imaginary belt. Kristina staggered to her feet, swaying with the imagined movement of the boat and mimicked the action of pulling out two pistols.

"Well I says mutiny on yer mutiny," I declared.

Jyra got to the boy first, her legs were a bit sturdier and her muscles pushed her faster. She extended her arm and helped the boy up. The boy stood and extended his wings, glancing at each one as if they were broken. He gave a sigh of relief and closed them behind his back.

"Thank you for the hand." he said quickly, "I must be going," he hesitated, "Things to do, places to see."

Jyra cocked her head a bit, "Sure, your welcome." As the boy was about to take off she extended her hand again, "Jyra."

He nodded quizzically and quickly shook and released her hand, "Max." He jumped into the air, his black wings riding the numerous thermals and updrafts.

Beside her Skylar looked a little awed. Jyra sighed and strode back to the willow. Skylar followed a bit warily. Jyra turned and hit the tree roughly with her back and slouched down to the ground. She looked up at Skylar curiously, "So, what are you?"

Skylar looked confused for a second but it quickly cleared, "Human, normal, sophomore, female, any of that what you were looking for?"

Jyra growled quietly and looked into the distance. Her chest grumbled as she started to feel free. "I'd move back a bit."

"Why?"

Jyra couldn't answer. Slowly her bones compacted and cracked into position. She grew larger and her clothes seemed to melt into her body, only to grow back out to become a golden fur. Her eye sight flickered and soon she was blind, her eyes pure ice. She finished and smelled for Skylar. Her smell was a bit father back than it was a few minutes ago. She had taken her advice.

Skylar shifted, gravel crunching under her shoes, "I guess you're leaving?"

Jyra nodded. Skylar also nodded, the scent of her hair conditioner spread around her. Jyra dipped her head in a bow and took off towards the trees.

Senna ran all the way back to her class and waited for everyone to get out before she got her backpack and quickly walked to her next class. It wasn't until she sat down that she relized she had left her book back in the gym. There was NO way she was going back. Not at all.

"Alright everyone pass up your homework." The teacher said interupting her thoughts. She pulled her homework out and passed it up. But she couldn't seem to get her mind of that kid. Who was he, he seemed to push everyone away, trying to scare them. He scared her some, but she was used to fear, it seemed her and fear were pretty good friends about now. It still made her mad that he had called her a slut. But he really couldn't be all mean, there had to be something nice in him. She thought about how his shadow had flickered, what had made it do that. It had to be something unmortal, something that no humen could do. No one could control their shadow like that. She barely listened to the teacher trying to remember if there was anyone she had seen him with before, anyone that would know why he was so mean. She wanted to curse at her curiosity, but she just wanted to know.

"Miss Terkson?" The teacher said tapping her pencil on Senna's desk. Senna looked up quickly and her face turned red. "Can I please talk to you after class? And please pay atttention." The teacher walked away and Senna pulled her coat around her sinking in her chair. This meant detention, it always had, which also meant having to think up an excuse to tell her foster parents why she was late. Just one more thing to add to the day, one more detail she had to figure out. She heard a few kids snicker and the kid behind her waited until the teacher was gone until he spoke.

"Daydreaming about your prince charming, Terkson?" That made the whole class laugh and Senna scooted down in her seat even more her face couldn't get reder. She clinched her fists then let them go and smiled,

"I heard Kayla's pregnant, and if I'm not mistaken, you were gone when she got that way."

The bell rang for everyone to go to their next class right as the class was finishing their little skits, and Lucy bolted out of the room, grabbing her binder. She waved to Mrs. Smith as she left; she would be back 7th period. Drama was the only time that cold expression ever left her face. Now it was back with her.

Heading to the gym,she strode across the grass outside the buildings, enjoying the silence. Entering the gym, she could hear someone hitting a punching bag relentlessly. There went the silence. As she went to sit down on the bleachers, she noticed a book sitting next to her. Vampires? She laughed. Silly little creatures, sucking blood of the human race for their own life. Why not just kill them? That's much more fun. Too bad we're not allowed to do that.

She leaned back against the bleacher behind her, which was terribly uncomfortable, and watched the boy tear away at the punching bag with his fists, paying her no attention.

"What the hell is wrong with this school?" Skylar said as she watched Jyra run off. She was overwhelmed with what she had seen and the day wasn't even over yet! Her Geometry class had already started which means she would be late again. It's not like she was ever on time, but she just didn't want to hear Mr. Lanston bicker at her again. He had the most dull voice. And he always repeated himself. She sighed and headed for class anyways.

When Skylar tried to open the door it was locked.

"Typical." She breathed. She banged her fist on the door and waited. After a few minutes it opened.

"Then bell rang quite a long time ago, Miss--"

"Skylar. My name is Skylar and if you call me Miss Anderson one more time..." She looked at him but his face remained calm.

"It's a term of respect. I am not one of your B F Fs so I don't call you by your first name only. For as a teacher that is like talking down to you and I don't believe-"

"Yeah yeah. Whatever. If I go get a tardy slip will you shut up?"

"Miss Anderson! I will not tolerate that type of talk in my classroom!" Skylar looked at him, then the ceiling, then the lockers behind her, then back to him.

"...Actually...we're kinda in a hallway, at the moment, so..." He started to turn red, she loved making him mad, it always made her smile.

"The bell is going to ring in ten minutes so by the time you get back it will be useless, but I'm not going to mark you absent, for then I couldn't give you detention."

"You're kidding me!" She said, throwing her arms up.

"You have disrupted my class, and I won't stand for that. So you will need to be in the Gym after school for regular detention with all the other trouble makers at this school." Skylar glared at him and he gestured for her to go take a seat. She stomped in and sat down in a chair in the back, muttering curses under her breath.
"After it happened I thought that I'd just try to live as normally as possible and bury it, but things like that don't stay buried. I didn't think it would, but it taints your whole life."

I had a free period after drama so I hurried outside and, when no one was looking, changed into a raven and flew back towards the school. I fluttered above the humans, listening to their chatter and watching the boys play football, the couples kiss and the girls gossip about topics such as clothes and boys. Their conversations didn't interest me but I enjoyed flying and it was always useful to know what people thought of each other.

Senna smiled to herself, not saying anything more as the room got deadly silent other then the people who hadn't heard her asking to be told by their neighbors.

"CLASS, you all should now what quiet means, so do it or you will all join Miss Terkson in detention." THe teacher said, no one snikkered this time, no one made a sound. They had better things to talk about. Senna looked down at the book, geometry, she HATED geometry. She sighed and waited tapping her foot. She couldn't wait to get her book, or even to find out more about that guy. Either way this class was just waisting her time. "Miss Terkson, sense you seem to need to pay more attention to this class please tell me the answer to this algebra problem, it will be on your algebra review, which I am sadly required to give you."

Senna smiled, she hated geometry but she had been good at algebra. The problem was.

(5x + 4y) - (10x-2y) Senna rolled her eyes that was going to be too easy.

"Negative five 'x' plus six 'y'." She said confidently. The teacher didn't say anything, she had obviously thought that Senna would get it wrong.

"That...That is right," She frowned at Senna, "now Brent please solve the next problem." Senna rolled her eyes this was going to be one long class.

Kristina didn't feel like going to Cemistry today, she'd been through the course at least haf a dozen times. She snuck out to the parking lot and into her car. She turned the radio on and listened to her favorite CD, a burned one of the Goo goo dolls.

She was just getting into it when somebody knocked on her window making her jump, it wasn't a teacher, it was a male student, but she didn't reconize him.

She rolled down the window and turned off the music in one smooth fluid motion, "who are you?"

The gym had become terribly boring. The guy hitting the punching bag had left right after she sat down, and happy little cheerleaders and their jock friends were enjoying themselves in basketball. Lucy rarely went to class, none of her teachers other than Mrs. Smith ever expected her to be in class. That was why she only carried one binder and a pen.

Leaving the gym, she figured she would sit outside for a while. Approaching the gate, she used her vectors to break the lock, so that know one would have any idea she had done it. Not like she cared, anyways. Pushing the gate open, she climbed the small grass hill and lazily dropped to the ground, looking up at the clear blue sky. It was beautiful today. Birds were flying, and one in particular caught her eye. A Raven, maybe? She loved black birds, and watching it soar through the air carelessly calmed her.

"The names Max." he replied.

She looked at him without interest."Thats nice, mine is Kristina." she pulled on a genuin smile that Max knew was fake.

"Seriously," Max said,"the goo goo dolls?" he asked while a smile etched the corner of his mouth. She looked on the edge of smiling, but her face tightened looking annoyed.

Taken aback, Max said,"sorry," and looked down. She burst out laughing.

"You know, you really are gullable."

Max made his lip quiver in a fake pout, and then smiled.

"Ok, you can come in and listen too, i know your dying to ask."

He smiled and slid into the car.

As the bell for 4th period rang, Skylar stormed out of class before Mr. Lanston could get a word in with her. She headed in a bee-line for lunch. She slammed into people, but just kept on walking, not even taking time to yell at them. She was starving and really needed some to calm the growling. Once she entered the lunch area she walked into the line for lunch. She thanked that little luck she had for getting free lunch. Once she had gotten her food she sat down at a table in the near back, greatly hoping no one would come and sit near her. Skylar was slightly angry with herself for having this type of attitude towards people. She was going to be sixteen in two days and she still has made no friends her whole life. She pulled a book out of her bag: A Night with the Undead. And opened it next to her food, eating and reading. The book wasn't really all that great, and was probably written by some thirty year old women who had never even left her house, but it was the only companion she had for the moment. And then, of course, some guy comes walking up to her, just like she didn't want.

*Leaving it open for whoever.*

Senna saw a girl sitting and reading, Skylar, was her name. She quickly got her food and walked to the table she always sat at away from the other teens. It was a few tables down from Skylar so Senna tried to read the name of the book she was reading. A Night with the Undead. She frowned, she had never read that book but it sounded like a zombie book. She never liked those. She looked back down at her food and ate a little. She wasn't very hungry so she just kinda played with it. The cafateria was noisy and she couldn't make out most of the voices so she pondered going out to her car to listen to music or something, but she was going to wait just a little longer before she did.
