--Luke can use Over-Drive! Harness your power and strike down your foes!--
(I was actually hoping to let Raven use Over-Drive instead of my character to make things a little more fair since Luke used Weapon Conversion back at that other place. But, Raven's a little tied up at the moment, so Luke will have to do.)
(Also, do you know how big these things are? In order to even get to their heads you need to get to a high place first. Why do you think I made Luke go up the stairs before jumping onto its arm? I'll let it go this once, since your post links up perfectly with my idea, kitty. Just keep this in mind for next time, same goes for the rest of you.)
The Husk slowly lifted Raven off the ground, both hands crushing her. Luke could hear her screams of pain from inside the Husk's grip. "Raven!" He pulled his sword out of the Husk's back and ran around to the front of the mechanical menace.
Luke looked desperately for a way to distract the Champion Husk long enough to loosen its grip of Raven. That's when he noticed the fluid oozing out of the holes Raven had made. He lifted his hand and shot lightning at the fluid, hoping it would cause some sort of harmful chemical reaction.
The fluid caught fire and part of the Husk's stomach blew open, but the creature was still standing. The best Luke had probably done was tick it off. The Husk lifted its foot and brought it down over Luke, who jumped to the side in time to avoid being crushed. Immediately after, though, the Husk's other foot came forward and kicked Luke.
He was sent sprawling to the floor, his sword sticking into the ground a few yards away. He was overcome with pain and his body couldn't move. His vision began to fade to black.
"Aaaaaggghh!!!"
Luke's eyes flung back open at the sound of Raven's scream. He couldn't slip into unconsciousness, not with Raven still in the Husk's death grip! He just couldn't let her down like this, no matter what. He had to save her, even if it killed him.
Even if it killed him, that last thought triggered something inside of him. A power similar to the one he experienced while fighting against the other Champion Husk a few nights ago filled his body, except it wasn't looking for a weapon to fuse with. It wanted to fuse with Luke's body.
He got back to his feet, ignoring the pain he was in. He held his arms out and basked in the power that coursed through his body. He let out a full-throated scream as his body exploded with power.
When he could think again, he could feel the change. He was clad from head to toe in high-tech armour that glowed with a deep purple aura. He wore a metal visor over his eyes. The visor had a green screen that transmitted all sorts of information for him to see.
His sights locked onto the Husk that held Raven. He held out his right arm and a giant cannon digitized right into his hand. The weapon was almost twice the size of his own body. He lifted the cannon onto his shoulder and held it with both hands. His visor turned from green to red as a crosshare appeared on the Husk's body.
"Target locked," Luke said. He pulled the trigger and held it it place. The barrel of the cannon sparked with electricity as it began to glow with a blue light. When it was at full power he released the trigger and the cannon fired a devastating beam of blue energy that blew a hole clean through the creature's body.
The impact of the blast threw the Husk backward, causing it to throw Raven into the air. Luke threw the cannon off his shoulders. As soon as he wasn't holding it anymore the weapon disappeared in a cloud of pixels. He ran up to Raven and caught her just as she was coming back down.
Her eyes slowly opened and the first thing she saw was Luke. "...Luke?" she said, looking at the visor. The power began to fade and the armour and visor faded away in a haze of pixels.
A sound brought Luke's attention back to the Champion Husk he had just defeated. Several parts of the Husk detached themselves from its body and began floating in the air. They flew over to the Husk that was still standing and attached themselves to its body. Instead of just the Husk's eyes glowing, the whole inside of its head was now glowing with an eerie red light.
(Over-Drives can be whatever you want them to be. I just thought the whole high-tech thing would be cool. 8 more posts to go before the battle is finished.)
