Luke got back to his feet and surveyed the battle. They were losing control of the situation. If only they could conjure enough water to douse the fiery Esper.
That's when he remembered Leviathan's words. If you should ever find yourself in a difficult situation, call upon me and I will lend you my strength...
Luke sheathed his sword and pressed two fingers against his forehead and concentrated on trying to contact the serpent.
A few minutes later he found himself speeding through the ocean, fish and other sea creatures passing right by him. He came up to the surface and jumped into the sky, letting out an ear-piercing roar that echoed across the ocean.
He was suddenly back in his own body, unsure of what he had just experienced. Before he could contemplate it any further he heard something crawling up the chasm wall. He looked over his shoulder to see Leviathan climbing onto the platform.
(Wow, 20 pages. Usually the storybooks I start don't even get past 5 pages before they die. This was a pretty good idea, eh?)
