Autumn's Beginning, Autumn's Breeze

Ariana

I giggled and poked Riley in the ribs, he jumpped and poked me in the ribs I jumpped. We continued on this way until Davnix walked up to them.

"Don't meen to interupt your disgusting 'love fest' with my sister," he directed at Riley and then turned to me, "and hate to interupt your disgusting 'love fest' with Riley, but we need to go."

I didn't like the way he didn't look at me when he said that. "Davnix..?"

Riley-

I glanced up at Davnix, slightly irritated. "Jeez, what's up with you?"

He cast me a look that made me shiver involuntarily. I tilted my head to the side as he began to stalk off.

"Davnix!" Ariana cried, running after him. "What is up with you!?"

He spun around and raised a hand, hesitated, and dropped his arm to his side. He gave Ariana a nasty look and walked off again.

I stared after him in disbelief. I looked over to the others to see if they had noticed. Natan, Isabella, Velna, and Trent were watching him with mingled looks of shock and concern. I had only just met Davnix, but he had struck me as a gently guy that wouldn't hurt a fly unless it attacked him first...

"What's his problem?" i muttered.

Velna-

Velna ran over to Davinx after she recovered from the shock. "Whats wrong?" She asked gently touching his arm. He kept walking not saying anything. "Davinx, stop, and tell me what is wrong."

Riley-

I watched as Velna approached Davnix, reaching out to grasp his arm gently. He spun again and lashed out, coming dangerously close to slapping her. His eyes changed, for a moment, from anger to hurt, then returned to anger. He turned and stalked off again.

An idea suddenly struck me as Velna turned away from Davnix and went over to sit on a boulder, her expression also angry.

I approached Natan.

"Any reason Davnix might be in such a bad mood?" i asked, looking at him.

He turned his head to face to, and i saw the same anger in his eyes as was in Velna and Davnix's. I took a step back, just to be safe.

"Why ask me?" he said darkly before he too turned on his heels and stalked off.

"Is it me, or is something very wrong here...?"

Velna-

Velna stormed away from Davinx her mind spinning. At first she felt untterly hurt. Why would he lash out at her like that. But then the anger took over out of no where.

"Velna, are you ok?" Trent demanded running over and holding her face in his hands. She shoved his hands off and backed away.

"I'm fine, I can take care of myself." She hissed storming away.

What is wrong? Crest demanded,

Nothing, just like I told him NOTHING! She screamed, where was that coming from. She felt a shriver run down her back as she kept walking.

Trent-

Trent shook his head in surprise. Riley slowly walked over, almost timidly.

"Whats going on?" He asked, carefully.

"I don't know, but I don't like it one bit. Velna's never said a harsh word in her life." He replied watching Velna storming off. Her walk was weird though, almost as if she was bickering with herself about walking fast or slow. But the half arguing fast won out. Something was seriously wrong.

Riley-

"Natan seems to be having the same problem..." i glanced around and saw anger in another set of eyes. Max's. Crap.

"And...we've got an angry vampire on our hands." i stated in a dull monotone. "Great."

"So who isn't in a bad mood besides you and me?" Trent asked.

"Well, me, you, Valentina doesn't seem to be affected...and neither does Ariana, thankfully." i said.

I smiled. "Looks like theres some cheering up to be done."

Trent-

"But how? We don't know why they are upset, and they wont talk. I'm not about to go talk to Max, I mean I could freeze him to the ground, but I don't know if it would be smart. Natan will be hard too because he has majic." Trent sighed,

"Velna has that dragon, that wont be fun." Riley added,

"Crest wont allow her bad mood effect him unless whatever has them has him. He will be tryin to help. Davinx is just dangerous as himself." Trent rubbed his neck. So what happened to all of them that didn't happen to us that made them mad?"

Riley-

I scratched my head, thinking hard. After a moment i snapped my fingers and glanced up quickly to see if there really was a light bulb there.

"Did you get injured at all in the fight?" i asked.

He shook his head slowly. "No...but i don't think Velna did except for a tiny scratch on her arm..."

"Well, i didn't get hurt, and neither did Ariana or Val, as far as I know. But Natan hurt his arm and Davnix hurt his leg and i could've sworn i saw a mark on Max's face. His skin heals so quickly though i couldn't be sure..."

"But didn't Isabella hurt her ankle?"

"Yes, but she wasn't cut." i pointed out. "The rest of them were."

"You have a point, but if this is true, what's happening and how do we get them back to normal?"

"Of that...i'm not sure. Do you have any ideas?"

Trent-

"With Natan out I don't know who we have. It probably isn't just a healing thing, because he healed Davinx, but he is still angry." Trent ran his hand through his hair.

Trent, we have a problem, there is something very very wrong with Velna, there is something in her. Crest said in his head.

Thanks, He replied,

"Well Crest said that there is something, alien in her system. Maybe that has something to do with it." Ternt said.

Riley-

"A demon, perhaps?" i asked.

"Could be, for all we know."

I sighed and scratched my head again. "Hmm..."

"How are we supposed to help them?" Trent asked.

I thought for a minute. "Well...there IS one place..."

"Where?"

"We could take them to the Tower of Sorcery. The mages might be able to help..."

Ariana

I stormed back to Riley flutered, all the bad vibes were feeding into my own and it made me angry.

*sorry its so short that's all I've got!*

Riley-

I groaned as Ariana approached, an angry look to her eyes as well, but not the same as the others.

"Not you too..."

Ariana

I sighed and leaned agaisnt him, "I hate when people get upset like that around me, I just get like that and it makes the whole thing worse."

Riley seemed relieved, so did the one called Trent.

"How do we plan to fix them?"

"Riley said something about a bunch of mages at some tower." Trent said,

" Tower of Sorcery" Riley corrected.

"How do we get there?" Trent asked looking between the two of them
