Autumn's Beginning, Autumn's Breeze

Natan-

I growled at Val. "Ever do that again and i swear i won't talk to you for a week."

She smiled and shrugged just as another shout rang out. I recognized Trent's voice. The shout was followed by a loud crash.

"I'm going to go help." Val said, starting to run off.

"No! Stay here!" I yelled at her, cursing under my breath.

Davnix-

I grabbed Velna and flung the both of us to the ground just as Trent attacked the demon that was about to pounce on us. I saw him disappear into the thick woods up ahead, slashing at the demon...

Riley-

I cursed and followed the rest of the group, fighting demon after demon.

Velna-

Velna jumped up, "Thanks," She said hurridly running after her brother and the demon.

"VELNA, wait,"Davinx called running after her. "You can't do it yourself." He said,

"I'm never by myself," She grinned, "THanks." They ran towards where Trent and the demon had disappeared.


Trent-

Trent ripped at the demon with his claws. "DON'T EVER TRY AND HURT MY SISTER!" He yelled as his claws ripped into the demon's side, his attack coming so quickly the demon couldn't react.

Ariana

I gought along-side Riley, what the hell did they want with us? They couldn't know what we were looking for!

But they do a voice inside my head teased. I reconized the voice immediatly and spun around, and there he was, just sanding there in the middle of battle, not solid. Just a figment of her imagination.

"What do you want?" my mouth opened but I couldn't hear the sounds. He did though.

You. You're all grown up. You'll be of even more use to me now.

My blood stilled and I think I fainted.

Valentina~

Ignoring Natan's plea, I found the demon. Riley was attacking it, Arianna was...where was she? I couldn't see her, and wasn't sure what had happened. Everything seemed to be going in slow motion...

Isabella~

As the other, nonhuman-like people ran off to fight, my brother and I struggled to keep up.

"Dammit!" I snapped, glaring at the place where Max had disappeared.

"I know," Natan agreed.

Riley-

I tackled the demon, forcing it to the ground. I ripped at it's throat and killed it quickly. Instantly i sprung up, searching for Ariana. I saw her a few feet away, lying on the ground, her eyes closed.

"No!" i yelled, rushing over and picking her up. I looked around in concern. The rest of the group, minus Isabella and Natan, were fighting the rest of the rogue demons. They seemed to be having slight trouble...

I could either leave them and get Ariana to safety or stay and risk Ariana getting hurt more...

I glanced around desperately.

Natan-

I hurried forward with Isabella. Every time i got close enough, i stretched out my hand to a tree, saying a word and drawing energy from the wood. It wasn't much, but it helped. But this was only a last resort for me.

We finally caught up with the rest of the group and joined the fray.

Max

I saw Isabella struggling to catch up and used my mental mind to get them to move faster than demons. Thats all I needed to do, Isabelle was strong willed and strong. She could handle herself. But I still worried and watched her feverently.

Riley-

Deciding on what to do, i jumped into the air and took off quickly, flying high above the trees. I looked down worriedly at the others, then at Ariana.

*Sorry, short*

Ariana

I woke with a start and realized that I was in Riley's arms before I realized that I was also in the air.

I swallowed a scream, only letting out a groan and clung to him. When he landed-some ways away I assumed-he sat me down against a tree and joined me.

"Are you alright?" he asked stroking my hair gently.

"I'm fine, I just...saw him out there. He did something to my mind. Oh it scared me," starting to cry I bent my head onto his chest, I hadn't yet mentioned what the demon would do if he got to me again. Although I don't know why.

Riley-

I let Ariana cry against me for a while before holding her at arms length and looking her in the eye.

"Ariana, the others are still back there. I have to go and help. You can come if you want, so you wont have to be here alone, but you will not be allowed to fight. Alright? I don't want you to faint again and be trampled in the madness or killed by a demon."

I raised an eyebrow and waited for her to say something, worrying all the while of the rest of them.

Ariana

I shook my head, "it won't happen again."

"We're not going to risk it."

"I'm gonna go back though." I could help even if I wasn't allowed to fight, not that I wasn't going to fight though.

With a swirl he pulled me into his arms and we were off, flying again. I closed my eyes and pretended that he was just carrying me.

Riley-

I landed again after a minute.put Ariana down, and looked into the forest where the others were still fighting. Everyone seemed unharmed except for a few minor cuts on a few of them.

I grapsed Ariana's shoulders again.

"No fighting." I growled. "I'm not just being stubborn and protective. It's for your own good, Ariana. I don't want you getting hurt."

With that I ran off into the woods.

Ariana followed Riley to the edge of the battle. She sent a pleading look at Isabella and in her hand she held a bow and a quiver of arrows. She smiled at her.

Drawing an arrow she sent it flying through the air right into a demon's neck. It fell down dead. She smiled and drew another. When all the demons fell down dead she smiled and went out to join the rest of them, going right over to RIley.

Velna-

Velna walked over to Trent to see if he was alright. He seemed fine as did everyone else.

"We should keep going." Trent said looking at the others. .

***Okay, I missed the fight scene, so I'm throwing my characters in as after the fight***

Isabella~

I limped through what had become a small battle field, checking to make sure the others weren't injured. Most of them asked me if I was okay, but I wasn't concerned with the pain shooting up through my ankle.

"Where's Max?" I asked no one in particular, while lookin aorund worriedly.

Valentina~

I did not stay for the whole of the battle. There was so much blood...my mind was going to explode.

After the battle was done, I walked toward the others.

What was that smell? It was sweet....

"Val, where were you?!" Natan asked, walked toward me. He was holding his arm up, careful not to move it. Instinctively, I stepped away. "What?"

"You're bleeding," I answered, looking at his arm. Oh God, it smelled so good...

"I know..." Natan wasn't getting it. It was such a simple thing to forget, after all. He stepped toward me again, and I could not resist.

I fell to my knees in front of him, so my head was level with his arm. I wasn't going to kill him...I had more willpower than that...but a taste couldn't hurt.

Natan-

As Val dropped down next to me, her eyes blazing, i recognized the sign and stepped away quickly, waving my unhurt hand and resurrecting a shield around myself. I regarded her coldly, holding my hand over my arm again. Pain lanced into my skull but i ignored it.

"Val," i said quietly. "Please don't try to do that again."
