*Well now, don't i feel special! :P *

Alje continued to ask the baby dragon simple questions, like where it came from. It answered without hesitation and soon afterwards it fell asleep, curled up next to Lethero. Now it was Alje who cast him a smug glance.

"Hey Lethero, you want a baby dragon?" she asked playfully.

"No, i wasn't planning on ever having one." he answered, looking down at the tiny green dragon. He sighed. "I suppose you have more important things to do, still being young and all?" he asked, a hint of envy in his voice.

"You know i do know magic." Alje said.

"Yeah, so?"

"So...i know a really good spell you may like."

"No thanks, i would like the keep my coat color."

"No, that was...lets see, which spell was that? I believe it was either the invisible spell or the earthquake spell. Never could get those two right."

Lethero snorted. "So what spell do you have in mind for me?" he rolled his eyes.

"I could make you young again." Alje said.

"I'm sorry Ajle," Lethero said, "but I cannot accept your offer. Everyone must die sometime." He looked out the window. "The only time I wish to be young again is when a great need arises."

"Are you sure about this?" Ajle asked.

"Yes, I don't want to live longer. I lived a good life, accomplished things that no one elde has tried before. I just want to rest." Lethero stood up. "I need to rest, Ajle, I'll see you later." He walked into the room and layed on the bed.

*I won't do a bio; this will basically explain all.*

a figure in a dark black cloak walked up to the door, glanced around to make sure no one was around, then tentatively knocked on the door.

Alje, in here human form, answered the door. It was a young woman, with dark hair and golden eyes, that seemed desparate and determined at the same time.

"Who are you?" Asked Alje, somewhat annoyed.

"I'm looking for a werewolf by the name Lethero," she explained, ignoring the question. Her voice was deep and husky. "Do you know where I can find him?"

Alje's eyes narrowed. "What do you want with him?"

"I need to talk with him," she said ernestly. "It's something really important."

"He's not available now," Alje said. "I can give him a message, though."

"No!" She said forcefully. "I need to talk to him, quickly."

"I told you, he is not able to talk to you," Alje growled.

THe stranger narrowed her eyes. "Then I will wait here until he is."

"You will not," Alje said. "You could be an assasin, or a spy, or a thousand other things."

a small, seemingly uncharacteristic smile tugged at the stranger's lips. "And they all would be humans. I am not a human. Would you like me to prove it to you?" without waiting for an answer, she shifted into a silvery wolf, proving that she was a werewolf.

"Let me see him," she said calmly. "Now."

Alje scowled, but she stepped back. the stranger, still in wolf form, stepped casually in, placing herself next to the door.

Alje walked into a room, and the silver wolf could hear some grumpy remark, followed by Alje's, "I know you need to rest, but some random werewolf girl shows up and refuses to go away. What was I supposed to do?"

After waiting rather impatiently for a few more moments, an elderly werewolf stepped into the room, followed by the woman who answered the door.

"Who are you what do you want?" the elderly wolf asked urgently.

"You are Lethero, right?" the stranger said.

"Yes. Who are you?"

the silver wolf nodded, satisfied, and shifted back into human form. "My name is Gera," she explained. You don't know me, but I've heard you knew my grandfather?"

Lethero shrugged. "Depends."

"By the name of Syden?"

the werewolf looked up. "I think so. But he died in battle, didn't he?"

Gera pursed her lips and nodded. "That's him. My father was ashamed and ran away, dragging behind him my mother, who was pregnant with me."

"Ashamed?" Lethero asked, curious. "Why?"

"He said Syden failed the militia and the treaty," she answered, hesitantly. "He said he was a coward and a poor fighter." after a moments hesitation, she asked, "Was he really...?"

"No," Lethero answered firmly. "Syden wasn't a coward. There were times he perferred to be alone, but that doesn't mean he was a dishonorable person."

Gera leaned back, releived. Then, after a while, she continued her story. "When I was four, some human hunters found our hiding place." she spat the word humans as if it was poisonous. "My father ran, and my mother hid me from them...before they killed her." she sat lost in thought for a while, then shook herself into the present and said, "I stayed hidden for several hours, to scared to come out, when a werewolf pack found me and made me a part of them. I left them a few weeks ago, to come here." she allowed herself a bitter chuckle. "I feel a little guilty for leaving them, I guess."

"And why did you come here?" Lethero asked.

Gera looked up determidely. "I want to join the militia," she explained. "i'm very good with weapons. I practiced a lot in my spare time. I want to regain some honor back under my family name."

Lethero smiled. "It is not up to me to recruit you. It is up to my grandson, corpral of the militia."

Halina got to her feet and walked to the end of the alley.
She had come here to see if she could find the peace makers and the do gooders.
She had failed, she was no closer to finding Alje or Lethero and she had got herself involved in the stupid Militia.
She ran to the barracks and moved to her bed. She reaced down and pulled a small vhile and dagger from under her bed.
If she couldn't find Eagle and she couldn't get close to Lethero and Alje, she was just going to have to get thier attention so they came to her. She was going to try and assasinate Yeron.

"Corprol," yelled one of the soldiers, "something has gone wrong with Gerask."

"What is it soldier," I replied. Then all of a sudden a Werewolf came running towards me with a sword. I knocked him to the ground and yelled, "Gerask, what is the meaning of this!"

"I have come to kill you, Lethero," Gerask said in a voice that wasn't his own. "You killed my brother, and I'll kill you."

"I'm not Lethero!"

"You lier, you are Lethero." Gerask swung his sword at me. I jumped back drew my sword and put my sword through him. "I'm sorry Gerask." Then his life was extinguished."

Alje gently carried the baby dragon into Lethero's house. She had eventually persuaded to take care of it until she found a suitable home for it and someone to take care of her. She set it down in a large cushioned chair and walked out of the house. Lethero had gone to sleep and she wanted to explore the small town.

She walked down the main street in her human form, cloak billowing out behind her. She carried a staff which she could conjour out of thin air whenever she needed it. She decided to go check out the militia buildings first.

She walked up to the barracks first. Soldiers were coming and going, some headed into town and others off towards the practice grounds. She spotted Yeron standing near the recruitment building talking to another official. She caught his eye and nodded and continued on. A few soldiers were carrying a body away but Alje paid it no heed. She visited all the other buildings and found them clean and orderly, and very busy. Finally, she turned to go.

She glanced back over to where Yeron was standing, still talking to the official. A young girl was sneaking up behind him, holding a poison tipped dagger. Alje stood gaping at the scene until at the last moment her senses took over. She raised her hand and shouted a word. All eyes turned on her as a streak of lighting shot from her palm to encircle the girl who was just raising the dagger. Alje could not believe she was the only one who had noticed.

Yeron quickly turned around and stood shocked at the scene. The girl lowered the dagger and looked around in bewilderment. She tried to run but could not approach the walls of her prison. Alje hurried over.

"What happened?" Yeron asked her.

"She was going to assassinate you. I stopped her with magic."

Yeron glared at the girl. "Why were you going to do that!?"

The girl stood there for a second before replying. "Because i needed to find Lethero or Alje."

"There are easier ways to do that than assassinating Lethero's grandson." Alje said. The girl looked shocked.

"You're...his grandson?"

"Yes. Now what do you want with my grandfather? To kill him too?" Yeron demanded angrily. All eyes were still on them.

"No! I needed to tell him something! Something important!"

Alje looking into the girls eyes. "Tell me."

"I can't. I can only tell Alje the dragon or Lethero."

"You CAN tell me, because I AM Alje."

*Nicarga's greatgranddaughter*

Laney slowly moved through the woods. Her greatgrandmother had raised her until she had been killed. She had left her pack when her daughter had died and had taken in Laney to raise. She had fought alongside well known fighters. No one knew who Laney's great grandfather was, but at 17 Laney didn't figure she would find out who it was ever so she gave it up.

"STOP WHERE YOU ARE!" A voice rang out.

"Ah, now that is what so many people have asked, but never heard the answer to." She said scanning the trees. She smiled when she spotted the speaker.

"THat is a bold statment." Came the reply.

"Get out of that tree if you want to talk to me, i don't enjoy talkin to trees." She said her hand resting on the hilt of her sword.
"And you wonder why we don't like you!" -Trumpkin

Georgia shot arrow after arrow into the target, not missing a shot. She was glad that she could spare some arrows because at the speed she shot them if one intersected with another it split the first in two.

The hairs on the back of her neck prickled, something was wrong. She dropped her bow and quiver and started running. She didn't know where she was running, but she ran. She leaped over a log and turned into her wolf fourm, doubling her speed.

She ran into the Berraks, pure adrenilne feeding her system. Her front paw caught on a stick and she flipped over, transforming into her human fourm again.

Landing gracefully on her feet she spotted Yeron. All the pieces fell together. She sprinted towars him.

"Yeron!" she called, ignoring the offical title, there was no time for that. "Yeron," she gasped, praying for air, "somethings coming."

"What's coming?" I asked in shock.

"Great evil," Georgia replied. "I remember my grandmother telling me about it, it's the same thing our relatives fought before they got our freedom."

"The spirit preist?"

"Yes."

Georgia had a hard time keeping her feet below her as she followed Yeron, running seemed much harder now.

When they passed the armory Georgia grabbed a bow and quiver of arrows. She could run faster than Yeron and easily caught up with him, dispite the feeling that her legs were slowly turning to metal.

Yeron was shouting orders, and when they reached the spot when she first sensed the evil her knees buckled and she had to grab onto Yeron's shoulders for support.

"Are you alright?"

"My knees aren't used to this much running," she lied, he wasn't convinced but he turned his attention back to the storm that brought on the preists arrival.

Alje followed Yeron and Georgia into the forest surrounding the town. She saw the tell-tale storm and gasped.

"It really is..."

"Alje!" a voice shouted in her mind. She instantly recognized it as Raiana's. The last few years they had stopped talking so much, but the occasional conversation would sometimes spring up. Now Raiana's voice rang through her mind clear as a bell, tinged with urgency and fear.

"Raiana!" Alje sent back mentally. Alje had ended up with the power to communicate with the dead, but usually only talked to Raiana. Lethero also had this gift, as did the dyrad Kailani, but Alje had not seen her in 50 years.

"Get everyone out of there, now! You cannot fight it yet." Raiana said.

"Will do!" A;je said. She turned to Yeron. "We have to get out of here. Go back and warn the citizens and tell them they have to move! Now! Hurry!"

Yeron glanced at her then ran back to the town. Georgia followed and Alje brought up the rear. The storm was growing closer and it fed the adrenilin running in their veins. They raced into the town, Yeron heading for the milita and Georgia running through the town. Alje headed to Lethero's house.

"Lethero!" Alje gasped, bursting through the door and startling the baby dragon who had still been sleeping. Alje ignored her and ran into Lethero's room. She found him sitting up in bed, blinking.

"Yeah? What's it?" he asked. He frowned at the shocked and urgent look on Alje's face.

"The spirit priest is back! It's headed this way! We have to get everyone out of here! C'mon!"

I jumped over the fence into the training grounds. "Everyone, spread out through the city and evacuate the citezens!" I yelled.

"But Cor.."

"That's an order soldier! There is an evil coming this way, we can't stop it."

Lethero got out of the bed as quickly as he could. "Dammit, it can't be! I thought we destroyed that thing fifty years back."

"Get the infant and we need to get out of here." Lethero with the spree of someone half his age ran out the door, with Ajle at his heels.

"Yeron," Georgia gasped, "what is this thing? My grandma said it was destroyed long ago."

"It was supposed to have been."

"My grandma said being around that thing was like being weightless, this isn't the same one, its a new one."

"How do you know?"

"My legs feel like they're made of pure steel." Even as she spoke she started to find it harder to keep herself vertical. "Don't you feel it?"
