Mythical Creatures of Sada

Raiana crouched low to the ground, Kailani by her side. They had been like this for almost two hours now, waiting for someone to show up. Then, they saw the cats stationed around the camp, just out of human sight.

"They're here." Raiana wispered. She backed up a bit, pulling Kailani with her.

"They're never going to make it. We've got to help them. My guess is they'r comming in from the south. We're north. C'mon!" Raiana got up and sprinted for the forest. Luckily, no one saw her and she was able to hide in the thick undergrowth.

"What do you plan on doing?" Kailani asked.

"I plan on finding them and helping them." Raiana answered.

"Then i'll come too. You and i are the only ones with the knowledge of how to defeat it." Kaialni said. She and Raiana both disliked reffering to 'it' by its name.

"You have a point. Fine. Can you take us to Lethero?"

"Is that a question?" Kailani teased.

She grabbed Raiana's arm and they shot through the forest. Once or twice Kailani stopped to ask the trees directions. Within a minute, they were by Lethero's side.

"Jeeze. Do you HAVE to do that!" Lathero cursed. "You scared the living daylights outta me!"

Raiana smiled.

"Where've you two been?" Lethero asked. He was with another wolf that didnt look familiar.

"At the camp. Dont worry, no one saw us. Who's he?" Raiana asked.

"I'm James, a shapeshifter like georiga." James said.

"Ah. I see." Raiana turned her attention back to Lethero. "And where is Georgia?"

"She got shot, but she’s fine. We left her back a ways to recover." Lethero said.

Raiana looked from James to Lethero. “Ok.” she said.

"Hey, where's Nicarga?" Kailani asked, looking aroud. "Wasn't she with you?"

"No, we got sepertated." Lethero said.

"We had better find her, and Syden too. No doubt they're together and in troule." Raiana said. The others aggreed.

"Where do you suppose they are?" Lethero asked.

"I can find out." Kailani said, and with that she vanished, only to reappear moments later.

"They're in the human camp, and they're in trouble." Kailani said. She bent down, hands on her knees, to catch her breath.

"Damn." Raiana and Lethero both cursed.

"What happened?" Raiana asked.

"I dont know, but they were caught." Kailani said.

"Lethero, i dont know about you, but i think this may be easier if we come up with a plan before we go dashing off to the rescue." Raiana said, seeing Lethero about to charge straight into the camp.

"Right. Whats your idea?"

Nicarga and Syden had been tied to a tree, the witch staying close by to make sure they couldn't change form. Syden had been knocked out and Nicarga was left alone with her thoughts. She looked around wanting to jump on the witch *is it called different if it is a guy?* and growled low in her throat. He smiled and walked over, squatting down in front of her.

"Your mighty pretty for a werewolf." he laughed,

"Your the ugliest witch i've ever seen." She hissed, he just laughed then smacked her across the face. Nicarga's face throbbed but she didn't cry out. The priest walked over and looked down at her.

"Where is your pack?" He demanded.

"Dead." She replied gravely. She recived a punch in the stomach for that one. She just smiled.

"Where is the pack?" He asked again.

"Dead," She smiled again, this time she was pounded in the stomach repediatly. She didn't cry out, that infuriated the witch.

"Where are they?" The priest demanded.

"Death's Valley." She hissed, the priest smiled and the witch dissappeard, he returned a few minutes later looking grim.

"Well?" THe priest demanded.

"All that was there were graves, wolf graves." The witch hissed,

"I told you they were dead." Nicarga laughed, the witch swung his foot up, it hit here right above the eye leaving a nasty cut. Nicarga winced.

"Thats enough, maybe she'll think about it a little more then decide to tell us where they are." The priest said angerly storming away.

"If you make him mad enough he might just have you killed." The witch laughed,

"Then he losses all hope of ever finding the wolves." Nicarga smiled,

"That one knows where they are."

"He will be harder to get information out of him then I am, you'll never get it from him. There is only one other person with that information and that person is with the wolves." She smiled. The witch frowned and walked a few feet away before leaning up against a tree. He pulled some meat out of his pocket and put it in his mouth watching her intenly. NIcarga just ignored him hoping the others would get here soon.

Raiana winced when she saw the man hit Nicarga. She looked over at Lethero and saw a pained expression on his face. She put a hand on his shoulder.

"We'll get her out."

Lethero nodded.

"How do you plan on getting them out?" Kailani asked.

"Hell, dont ask me!" Raiana exclaimed.

"Well, do you have an idea?" Kailani asked

"Actually, yes." Raiana said. "And it may work. I'll be right back."

Raiana tuned to Lethero. "Where did you say Georgia was?"

"Um...back about a mile to the south. Why?"

"Be right back."

Catalina returned holding human clothes. "Here you go she said," she said.

"Thank," Lethero answered, "but I might not need, but I'll use it."

Lethero went back a distance, changed into human, and changed into the human clothing. He came back sitting next to Catalina. "Anything happen."

"No."

Raiana ran through the forest. She had to get to Georgia, and fast. All of the sudden she broke into a clearing and found Georgia, her back against a tree, aher eyes closed. There was blood on her leg and she had a pained expression on her face.

Raiana ran up to her.
"Georgia?"

Georgia's eyes snapped open and she reached for Raiana's throat.

"Wow, easy. Its me, Raiana. Remember?"

"Yea, i remember you. What do you want?"

"I need your help."

"Well, i cant go anywhere. See that?" she pointed at her leg.

"Yes, i know. But i can heal it. Nicarga and Syden were caught. They're prisoners in the human camp." Raiana explained, laying her hand over the wound. She muttered a word and the bullet wound healed almost instantly.

"Really?" Georgia asked. She stood up and tested her leg. It felt fine.

"Yes, yes. Now we must hurry. We have to get back to Lethero." Raiana said haistly, looking around. She hated being out in the open like this.

"Lead on." Georgia said. Raiana nodded and ran out of the clearing, Georgia following behind.

They reached where Lehtero, James and Kailani sat. Catalina was with them.

"Lethero," Raiana said, pulling him over where no one would hear. "I have a plan, but it may be diffucult."

"Lets hear it."

"We send Georgia and James into the human camp disguised as humans. They make a racket, and draw most of the people over to where they are. Then, they slip into an alley, change into something small, and make their escape. You, me, Kailani and Catalina will go and try to free Nicarga and Syden while the humans are distracted. If that dratted preist and his lacky are there, all the better. We can get rid of them now. We wil need them out of the way if we are to have a chance of defeating It. I can carry Syden out of there and meet you back at the clearing where georgia was. Then we can figure the rest out when we get there. How about it?"

*leaving this open*

Nicarga looked at the sky as it got dark, she tried to change to her wolf form but that only brought a laugh from the witch.

"Don't try, you wont be able to." He said rudely.

"Why, you to chicken to face me in my wolf form?" She demanded. He frowned.

"I would kill you for that but the Priest wants you alive, not only are you bait but you know where the pack is." He said standing up, he walked over as the Vampire came over.

"Your both trators, trash." She spit at them. The vampire laughed, and sat in front of her a cruel smile on his face.

"I knew you seemed familiar." He started. "You father was ol' one eye, I wouldn't have ever guessed he had a kid." A blood curling laugh came from his throat. "You have his blood in you that is for sure. He died nice and slowly, that was the most fun i ever had killing a wolf. He wouldnt' give up though, gaurding that pathtic she-wolf, HA," He pulled a necklace out from under his shirt, it had a wolf tooth on it. "I wanted something to remember him by." Nicarga blew, she struggled against the ropes trying to get to him, she wanted to tear his heart out of his chest, to make him suffer. He wore her father's tooth like a trophy, he was gonna die for that. Her arms started to bleed from where the rope rubbed up on them. The witch frowned and froze her so she couldn't do any more harm to herself.

"are you trying to make her mad?" he demanded.

"It doesn't matter, when the priest is done wiht her i'll kill her just like i did her parents." He laughed walking off.

"Your blood will run before mine." Nicarga growled after him.

"He's a mean one, it'll take a lot more then you to kill him." The witch laughed,

"No, he's never seen a she-wolf kill for revenge, he thought my dad was hard to kill, he hasn't seen anything yet. He'll beg me to kill him before he is dead." SHe hissed.

"You wont be doing him any harm." The priest said walking over. "Even if i have to have you frozen when you are killed."

"No witch will keep me from killing him." Nicarga yelled, "If i die before him I'll haunt him and you both for the rest of your lives. YOu'll never be able to turn the corner with out being scared." She hissed, she was madder then ever, she fought at the power that held her still. She felt one of her fingers move and little and she smiled to herself, she would fight no matter what.

"Where are those wolf friends of yours that were spotted?" the priest asked, it seemed he was askin him self though. "You'll watch em all die before you do."

Telayna had passed a thick area when she heard yelling. She looked around some trees. It was Nicarga! She couldn't just go in. She heard that one was a witch. He was a man, and a handsome one at that. And probably very gullible. She changed into one of the dresses Sam had bought her. She splattered mud on the bottom and ripped it a bit. She ran into the camp, making herself trip and land by the witches feet. He helped her up.

"Who are you? And what are you doing in the woods dear? It's against the law."

"I'm Tela---Tella. Tella Wooden. I was running from a bear. It was at the edge of the woods and it headed towards me. I was so scared. I couldn't help it, so I ran."

"There there dear." He smiled. "Why don't you hurry on home."

She looked embarassed. "I...uh...don't know where it is. I wasn't paying attention when I ran and I think I'm lost."

"Oh, well, one of our men will bring you back to the town then."

"Thank you good sir. You are mighty kind and..." She was blushing.

"What is it?"

"Nothing, but you are mighty handsome. Prolly the handsomest man I ever did see."

"Why thank you. You're very beautiful yourself. Do you need anything?"

"You're too kind. Actually, I'm very thirsty."

"I'll be right back." He left and Telayna ran over to Nicarga who was out of it. She cut the ropes but the two couldn't move.

"Oh no. She went over to where their stuff was and grabbed a sword. She hoped she could kill him. Oh how she wished for Lethero to come and save the day as he always did. She usually hated him being in the spotlight all the time, but at the moment she didn't care. She needed to save her friend.

Nicarga kept from smiling as Telayna ran from teh woods and put on a good act. When the witch left she started pushing against the witches spell again. She got one hand to move but that was it when the witch came back. He saw her untied and he shot towards the air just as Telayna swung the sword at him. He laughed,

"What was that for?" He asked,

"You hurt those two." she said holding the sword so tight her knuckles were white.

"They were trying to kill me what was i supposed to do?" He asked, she dropped the sword as if she had made a mistake,

"I....I'm sorry." She stepped back as he landed,

"That is understandable, but if the priest knew i let you see them and then let you go, i'd be good as dead."

Catalina called her geurd together.

"i need two voluteers to go in and poision the water supply. Another voluteer will tell the prisioners not to drink the water. And that we will rescue them soon."she said,and as she explaines three cat rised there hands."peter, blackie, and fred, you will all get your war names after this mission if you survive.go about your task"she told them

Lethero watched as the Werecats dissapeared, then turned to Raiana, and said, "Ok, but before I go, I'll have that priest's blood on my hands."

"Ok, but be careful," Raiana warned.

"I'll kill him or die trying."

"Lethero, don't do anything stupid, we all need you."

"If I die you'll have Nicarga and Dreska. All my wolves respect. You might as well be in the pack. If I be living after this, I bbe making all you members of my pack." Lethero picked up his sword from the pile of his armor and sneaked into the camp.

"Are you going to kill me then?" Her voice was shaky.

"Well, I couldn't kill such a gem and live with the guilt. But I am a witch and I might have to do something."

She looked shocked. "A witch? i never knew there were such things! But please, you are probably powerful enough to kill me in a blink. Please, I would love to live, even if it means staying here the rest of my life!"

"Like a slave? That is barbaric! How could you say such a thing." He slapped her across her face. She showed tons of fear.

"I'm sorry! I know it's stupid. I wasn't thinking. Please forgive me, oh great one!" He kicked her in the stomach when she was on the ground.

"Don't you EVER call me that!" He yelled.

She sobbed tears. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to offend you! Please forgive me!"

Nicarga pushed against the power again but could only release the other hand, she couldn't let Telayna get hurt anymore.

"Leave her alone, she didn't mean anything by it." SHe hissed at him, she pushed against the power again. He stormed over to her and he wasn't smiling.

"Shut up!" He yelled kicking her, she winced but that was it.

"Seron, what are you doing? Who is this?" THe priest demanded walking over. Seron spun around.

Georgia calmed down and stood up, she grabbed the gun and swung it around her. She felt rather foolish, a girl in a midevil dress with a gun. She realized she was hungry, and headed east, towards a near-by town.

"James," she muttered, "if you find Lethero make sure he doesn't do something stupid, knowing him he'll be so obsessed with this that he will. And Lethero, if you find him first make sure he doesn't do something stupid."

Raiana growled. She hated seeing her friends in pain.

"Kailani, wait here. I'm ging to see if i can do something to help."

"Fine, but if something happens, what do you want me to do?"

"Go warn the pack to get as far away as possible."

"Er...ok." Kailani aggreed hesitantly.

Raiana changed into a dragon and using her magic, cast a spell over Nicarga, Syden, Lethero, Telayna abd herself so that they could not be harmed by magic. But the shield did not protect against physical attacks. Raiana watched as the witch kicked Nicarga.

Raiana flew into the air and dove for the wtch, yelling to Lethero, "Get Nicarga and Syden outta here!"

All her plans were unraveling. "Oh well, if this is what it takes, so be it." she thought as she rocketed through the air. She drew in a great breath and blew it out as fire. The witch had a shield, but like all things magic, it could not withstand dragonfire from a fully grown dragon. The witch turned to ashes in seconds.

Raiana wipped her tail around, hitting the priest square in the chest. He went flying into a building and slumped to the ground maybe, hopefully, dead.

Then Lethero was at her side.

"Where are the others?" Raiana asked.

"Where we said to meet." Lethero answered. He jumped onto a nearby human and ripped out his throat.

"What are you doing?" Raiana practically shouted.

"Couldn't let you have all the fun!" Lethero said, leaping onto another human.

"Get on!" Raiana cried to both Lethero and Telayna.

Telayna scrambled onto Raiana's back and helped Lethero up. Raiana spread her wings and flapped them, trying desperatly to gain altitude.

The vampire was on the ground beneath them, shouting and waving his hands around.

"Hold on!" Raiana told her passengers. She swerved to the right just as a bolt of lightning streaked past. Raiana turned to the north and flew away from the camp.

"Whre are you going? The clearing is that way!" Lethero shouted.

"Do you want a bunch of angry humans following us?" Raiana shouted back.

When they were far enough away, Raiana turned east and after flying that way for about an hour, turned North. It took another hour to get to the clearing.

Lethero hopped down from Raiana's back. "We'll need to go back eventualy to save those other creatures," Lethero said.

"I know but all those humans will be a problem," Nicarga said.

"Plus the preist still lives."

"How do you know that?"

I still heard his heart beat."
