Hey, can I join this? If not, ignore my bio!

Name:Brigid
Age:21
Hair:Black and curly. It used to be really long, down to her waist, but she's recently hacked it up to just below her shoulders as it was getting in her way. She uses a red hairscarf to kep it out of her way.
Eyes:Dark grey.
Complexion:freckled and weather-beaten. Her skin is rough, and she has wrinkles under her eyes as her face is expressive, which make her look older than she is.
Figure:Scrawny. Looks like she has the body of a younger girl, which contrasts with her hardened eyes and worn air.
Ship: "Cnamhin Dubha" (Black Bones)
History:Left home due to lack of opportunities and oppression, with her sisters Siofra and Maire. They only managed to get a small make-shift raft, which, needless to say, did not get them very far. It wasn't long before they were captured by pirates (Brigid was 16 at the time, and her sister 12, her parents had died of a combination of disease and starvation so they decided to emigrate but didn't have much of a plan). They ended up getting captured by pirates.Marie was uncooperative. Threats were made against her life adn her sisters', but she still fought and tried to escape, and got thrown over board, which has haunted Brigid and Siofra. They're still trying to escape, but it is unlikely that they will ever settle back on land again if they succeed. They currently work on the ship under Anchorless and Oisin.
Belongings: Few. A silver cross which she wears around her neck at all times, although she has no faith left, a kitchen knife, a dagger, and a pistol which she was only given after years of tiresome obidience.Wears a navy skirt, now worn and torn, a white shirt and brown boots, and she has a brooch in the shape of a flower made of green adn pink jewels pinned to the breastpocket of her shirt. It was given to her by Oisin, the first mate, who came across it in a raid. He has a soft spot for her (as soft a spot as he can have, given his toughness), as he too started out as an emigrant, though he was only five when he took to the seas and is now 24.It's worth a fair bit of money but, strangely, he won't let her trade or sell it for something more practical, insisting that it's a special present. She intends to trade it once she gets free so she and her sister have something to live on, though recently, she's been less tempted to escape, getting used to it. Still she refuses to totally abandon the idea of freedom even though she's not much of a captive anymore and isn't sure how happy she'd be to leave.

Hope that's ok.

Tara thought about her situation and didn't like it. She was tired, exhausted to say the least, she had been paddling for two days straight.

She didn't want to stop afraid that she was going to collapse and not wake up. She looked ahead of her and saw what looked to be a ship.

She sighed and closed her eyes, finally. She reopened them and the ship was gone.
'dang halutionation' She thought as she kept paddling, she paddled all morning until she saw a ship leaving a port. She sighed with relief but didn't dare close her eyes afraid the port would disappear.

Ahoy Jasmine and welcome. You might want to change the name of your character Tara as we kind of already have a Tara but other than that it's fine by me.
Amelia

"What be your name girl?" One of the crew asked me as I stared out to sea.
"Lia," I told him, "Captain Lia."
"Lost your ship?" He queried.
"Yeah. We were attacked a few hours back."
"Harsh. Other survivors?"
"Don't think so." We stood in companionable silence for a moment and then he excused himself because he was wanted on the helm.

I decided I should do my part to help out and found the captain in his cabin. I entered and, after a slight hesitation, removed my hat.
"Captain? You want me to take a few hours watch tonight?" He looked up and then shook his head.
"Don't worry yourself girl. That's not how I run my ship. The way I see it, us pirates have to stick together against the rest of this damn world. Besides, you paid your passage so let the rest of them lazy fools do the work."

I stayed with the captain a little longer and e drank a bottle or two of rum together but after that it became clear that he wasn't the most talkative of men. I wandered back up deck, back to the familiarity of the hustle and bustle of a ship. A ship though. Not my ship. No familiar faces. No greetings. No response at all in fact. To them I was nothing but to my crew... I had been their captain. It's strange how you can lose your identity so easily. How suddenly you're on your own.

Could I join? And if not, like Jasmine said, ignore my bio.

Name: Alasani (last name forgotten)
Age: 15
Appearance: Scrawny, a tiny tyke with short cropped black hair, wavy, blue-green eyes, grubby. Delicate bone structure, could almost be pretty if washed and whatnot. Torn shirt that's fairly good quality, decent quality cotton trousers that reach around mid-shin, bare feet and more often than not a cap on her head to hide her hair.
History: Not much of one, she was on the streets ever since before she can remember (memory starts around three years ago) and she's was fairly high up in a theives guild until the local law found out about them and cleared the den out. Been on the 'run' ever since, and had the misjudgement to stow away on one of the Navy ships...thought it was merely a fast merchant ship or something.
Temprement: Decent thief and opportunist, she could steal your eyes from your head and you wouldn't notice them missing until you went to look at something closely. Generally shy though, to avoid being looked at and watched after all.
Belongings: Apart from what she has on her, not much. Anything she can neatly steal, or whatever catches her fancy. Numerous knives of varying lengths, a set of lockpicks and a garrote.
Come, take My hand and walk with Me, walk with Me in the Shadows.

Tis better to have the world think you a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

(OOC: Oy, sorry about that, Imp and all. I've been meaning to add, truly...)

Jacquie thought for a moment. "Well, I'm not sure I know of any respectable inns from experience, but I think I know of one you might approve of." She glanced briefly at his ill-concealed sabre, curiosity flickering in her mind. Now this could be an interesting ally, if I play my cards right...

"Follow me, if you please, sir," she said aloud, making her way through the usual dock crowds. She turned inland, making sure this "Thomas Aldgate" fellow followed. They left the crowds and wove through the nearby streets, finally stopping before an impressive building.

"Here you are, sir: The Admiral's Inn." She studied his face as she said it; he twitched slightly, but regained composure almost immediately and smiled at her.

"Ah, very kind of you. Yes, I think it will do nicely, thank you."

"My pleasure, sir. Actually, I was just on my way to meet a few friends here, so it seems we caught each other at an opportune moment." She grinned and opened the door for him, gesturing for him to enter. Awkwardly, he did so, and she followed.

"I hope you find everything you need here," she said, then curtsied her farewell and made her way to the corner of the room, where she sat down in a surprisingly comfortable chair, ready to observe the rest of the room and make her next move.

Tara walked along the docks and looked for some ship she could get on. She couldn't find anyone there so she walked to an inn: Admiral's Inn. She sighed and walked in sitting down at one of the few tables that were in the lobby. She looked at the few people that were in there. She saw a girl sitting in a corner, she had just walked some guy in. She was studying the room as Tara was.

Amelia

"Land ahoy!" The lookout called and just a few minutes later we pulled into Antigua.
"Well thank ye Captain. I'll be taking my leave now," I grinned, threw him a few more coins and jumped ashore.

A short walk brought me upon a group of market stalls but all was quite. Then I saw why. One dark haired boy with inky blue eyes was staring transfixed at three pirates. The stall keeper soon hastened out of sight. I swaggered over.
"What be going on 'ere?" I asked, casually tilting my three point hat.
"We got us an English and we found 'im first," One of the pirates replied.
"An English eh? This one's just a boy. You'd have been better to follow him back to his ship and take it out," I sighed. I wasn't in the mood for blood shed and if these fools wanted to get themselves killed that was fine by me.

"That's not a bad idea," One of the pirates smirked, "Where be your ship boy?"
"I...I'm not going to tell you that," The boy replied bravely. All three pirates pointed their pistols at him.
"Just a rough direction will do us boy. Point. Then you can be on your way." A female pirate added.

The first mate walked into the cabin. "Has the buntai found anything yet?" asked Captain Ying.

"Yes Senchou. She was spotted in Admiral's Inn," said the first mate.

"Good, bring her to me. And don't hurt her to much, I want her alive and able to speak."

"Yes, Senchou."

Tara yawned and tried to blink the sleep from her eyes, she would get a room but not at this time. She stood up and walked out side to study the area. She started to walk past an ally when someone grabbed her from behind and threw her into the ally. She jumped up quickly and tried to grab her knife but whoever had thrown her had taken it in the process. She tried to get to her other knives but there was someone behind her so she ducked quickly barely missing the blow that was meant for her head. She spun around and quickly threw a couple of punches into the air hitting someone. There was a grunt then she was hit over the back with what felt like a stick. She flew forwards into the arms of someone who grabbed her right arm and pulled it up to where it almost touched the back of her kneck. She tried to scream out but a gag was quickly yanked over her mouth. She started kicking just to kick a wall sending pain through her leg.

"Stop struggling little missy, yur not goin new where." Someone hissed in her ear.

"Senchou, the buntai have the women as you asked," said the first mate.

"Good, bring her in," Captain Ying ordered. Two men came in with a struggling women. "Remove her gag."

"Ah, Senchou Ying," she said as soon as she saw who asked for her capture. "Long time no see. You doing fine."

"Yes, and I'm regretting you were able to get your hands on my gold."

Tara laughed, "Still upset about that are ye."

"Yes, but I be will ing to forgive you and let you live. I am not a person who will kill because he wants to so I'm offering you a choice; work for my crew or die."

"Why would i work for you?" She spat, she tried to get free but the holds on her arms got tighter. She kicked at one of the men and he blocked it then kicked her in the shin. She grunted in pain not letting any of it show on her face.

"Let her go, stand by the door." Captain Ying ordered them. The did and she stood on her good shin trying to ignore the pain that shot threw the other.

"So, its my life or work on this ship." She looked around. "Why do you want me workin on it? You have to have some motive."
