Captured In Duolingo's Basement

-ZARI-

Zari could see that Knor was beginning to regain some feeling, as he tilted his head side to side. Once he finished the sandwich, she put the cup of cold water to his lips and allowed him to drink.

"Do you want to try walking?" she asked.

"Thank you." He told her. He squinted at her next words. "I didn't quite understand that."

-ZARI-

Oh, silly me. He still can barely hear.

Zari stood up and motioned walking on the spot. The she pointed and mouthed "you" to Knor.

She offered him her arm.

He just gave her a thumbs up, and stood up by himself, using the chair for support.

-LILY-

Lily entered the room. "Zari, what are you doing with the prisoner? He was supposed to be downstairs 10 minutes ago." Lily glared at Knor with a look of eternal boredom and dissatisfaction.

Zari's face lit up. "Lily!!! Good morning, my friend!"

"Well? What are you doing with him?"

"Oh, yeah. Well, Duo told me to talk to him. He cannot hear anything. Duo blasted Spanish or Vanish all night"

Lily signed and massaged her temples. "Next time you change out plans, please keep me updated, okay?

Zari nodded.

Lily turned to Knor. "Come with me," she said, beckoning for him to follow her towards the door.

- DUOLINGO -

Duo sipped warm milk and made his way upstairs.

Knor stood there, following their conversation very poorly. He just waved off the two, and started walking around the room.

Zari approached Knor. He is probably so confused. Just one night here and his ears are damaged. He is probably terrified.

She gently grabbed his and and looked into his eyes and smiled. "You are okay," she mouthed, "come on, let's get you out of this muggy room."

She tugged at him hand, pulling him towards the door.

"Yeah I'm fine. I just want to walk a little bit so I don't fall on my face somewhere else." He tugged his hand out of her grip.

Huh. He really does not like to be touched. I wonder why.

Before she could respond... the door opened... revealing a chilling sight...

- DUOLINGO -

Duo stood in the doorframe, the light revealing the evil in his eyes. Behind him was a dark hallway.

"Hello Sully! Hope you slept well!" he burst out, laughing like a maniac.

"Miss me?"

Great. The stupid owl was back.

"What? Sorry old bird, I can't hear." He gave the bird a sarcastic grin.

- DUOLINGO -

"Yes, thank you for your praise. I know you missed me. Lets go."

Duo turned around and retreated back into the dark hallway.

Lily followed.

Zari beckoned at Knor to follow and smiled.

He rolled his eyes, but followed, putting his hands in his pockets.
