Duo awoke from his restful slumber. He always had an obsession with getting exactly 9 hours of sleep. It was incredibly important to brain development and function, especially when it came to language learning and teaching and stalking.
He heard a knock at him door. "Come in," replied the bird.
It was Zari, one of his most dedicated employees, bringing him his breakfast.
"Ah, Zari. Goodmorning."
She smiled, "Goodmorning, sir. I hope your sleep has been tremendously restful."
"It has, it has," he replied, with his authoritative tone. "How is Knor facing with the... music selection..."
"Well.. he is... well..."
Who's to say that my light is better than your darkness? Who's to say death is better than your darkness? Who am I to say?
He'd ended up falling asleep after a few hours, which was to say, when the music didn't bother him anymore. When he woke up, there was someone there checking on him. Their lips moved, but no sound came out. He realized, it wasn't that they weren't making sound, he couldn't hear. He cheerfully made remarks until they left.

Duo took a deep breath and then smiled. "Not again, why does this always happen when I blast music for nine hours. Human ears are so weak. Well, I suppose we could have him work on our sign language crew today with Junior."
The bird chuckled. "Go talk to him, Zari. Perhaps he will like you."

Knor hummed, sitting in the same place as before. He still couldn't feel his limbs.

He hummed, and just gave her a smile that seemed full of sarcasm.

A sad expression came on to Zari's face. How can Duo do this to so many people. I understand that, in the end, he is working for good, but he seems to have no compassion for human life. Zari felt sad for Knor.
She walked over to him and placed her hand on his shoulder. She mouthed the words, "I am so sorry. Are you okay?"

He squinted slightly as she spoke, and once he got what she meant he grinned. "Natürlich! I don't have to listen to the green owl."
(Of course)

"Yeah, alright, just let me wait for the feeling to return to my limbs." Knor replied, not moving.

Knor opened his mouth, and she was gentle with feeding it to him. Oh hello, there's the tingling and the stabbing needles that caused him to stiffen up until blood flow was more normal. He started to tilt his head from side to side.
