Kay is Late and Overmotivated

Hey! *hyperactive waving*
AnotherCrowInRow here (it's long. I know it. You know it. So feel free to call me Kay), ready to dive into NaNo.
Wait - am I late? I know. I know I'm a huge step late - I've lost a whole month, so to speak, which is...um. Not very motivating. That's why I extended my writing date a bit, so that I can finish it (I was at scout camp for most of July and I'm going abroad for 4 days this weekend, so the time to write somehow...disappeared without a trace).
Oh well, enough of my ramblings, let's go to Camp NaNo!

My goal is pretty low - only 5000 words. I am writing a book that I am extremely eager to write, but currently I have a small goal - to finish the first two chapters + the prologue.

Day 1 (24th of July ´24)
I have finished a very rough draft of the prologue, with which I am quite satisfied.

Yo! Happy to have you on board! I’ve also had a busy month and I’ve been trying to write for Camp NaNo when I can, a 5,000 word goal is already a great start!

Day 2 - 26th of July ´24
I returned to the prologue again and revised it. So far, I have written about half of it, but a large part of it can already be considered the final first draft.

There was no one on the ship except Captain Marl, the old dog Dolly and a boy who was watching the horizon. A small patch of land hidden among the waves of the gray ocean was found by Joe as soon as it came into view.

Ooooop I did not see this thread earlier XDD A (very belated) welcome to Camp NaNo, Kay!! You can totally use this thread into August and beyond if you want some accountability. And, if you'd like to try a similar event, you can join us for NaNo in November :> Your project looks v cool so far!!

So...As you may see, I really did forgot to update here. But! The wordcount was finnished day before my CampNaNo challenge ended, so I won =D. I will probably post updates from past weeks about this project plus some snippets as well.
