also I know it's been 8 years but would it be at all possible to find maybe a chunk of Vader's armor in the rubble on Atoa or something? If Sirejj got a hold of something like that he may be able to see some interesting things

bro I did NOT think of that. Sirejj could potentially communicate with her force spirit to some small degree. That takes a lot of power but the nightsisters have deep roots in speaking to the dead and necromancy and such. I imagine it would be more of visions rather than a full-on conversation but if he found wherever her people had taken her....

I was thinking if they are at the site of the fallen temple it wouldn't be hard for Sirejj to almost let Tarkin see what happened like it was right there. Not so much because Sirejj is powerful but because he could facilitate a vision that already exists. Tarkins just not able to see it in his natural state because he's not a force sensitive.
Or the atoans could teach him a spell. Saro have Vader visions after all.

I think the first option is good. Tarkin would almost definitely try not to see it, though, like he'd just turn around and leave.
I figured it would be a situation where Tarkin has notified the ISB about Qiall and they're getting ready to do some research before they go pick her up. Could Killian conceivably be working under Partagaz or would he be part of another division?

depending on the situation especially if Saro's spirit was very determined to make Tarkin see what happened, Sirejj could force him to stay there and see. Idk if she's powerful enough but they could strike a deal where Sirejj would promise to reveal the truth and bring some justice to her and Garoche in exchange for learning some of her magick. In order to bring justice he would have to reveal to Tarkin the whole truth. Tarkin must be the one to change and spearhead the revenge of his son.
Killian is a younger agent and would probably be one of those who got where he was because his family is important and they want their son to have some influential position. Killian is super smart and wanted to go into the ISB instead of politics so they would have used their influence to really help him. Tzara would be one of those people, perhaps loosely related to him. He's a little naive compared to many others who have had to work their way up but he's eager to learn and highly intelligent. Just kinda a nerd and not really been exposed to the filth and violence yet since he hasn't done much field work yet. He's a rookie but shows promise and would be easy pickings for the more experienced agents to snap up and mold under their influence.

Saro would only force the issue if she thought it would make a difference in freeing the galaxy. I feel like since the Rebellion did just fine without him in canon, she wouldn't be super invested. I think her spirit will be pretty dissipated, too--touch and go, probably a bit all over the place in terms of forming herself into an actual visible spirit.
Sounds like the exact kind of person Partagaz would love to be a dad/boss to. Let's maybe set up a scene where they're having a meeting about research and recon for the Qiall issue, or something along those lines. Should be a fairly easy assignment for a rookie.

yeah especially since Sirejj isn't exactly a master necromancer or anything it would only probably be enough to see the truth not much else. Still Sirejj might be mad and go to Tarkin like "listen you made me find all this stuff out about your family and get dragged into this, I'll be damned if you walk away now"

Whenever Killian shows up to pick up Qiall I can imagine Sirejj and Tarkin less than impressed by this peach fuzz kid showing up. Sirejj would be expecting some big scary ISB person and gets this kid so he'd probably roast him immediately. Poor Killian would be shook. He's used to people respecting him and not used to earning it himself.
