Hehe brains work in funny ways.

Kurra nodded approvingly. "That was better. I want a more solid image next time, and it ought to last longer than a few seconds. But you made marked progress just now. Try another dreamer; see what they have to offer. Practice giving your mind different shapes."

Sorry these replies are so short; I'm terrible at teaching scenes.

its fine this part is hard. we just need some training stuff then we can go to the mystery solving business. still thinking about how he'd start asking questions

Sirejj felt drained from that alone, but he hid it to the best of his ability. He was still not one to show weakness. He continued, slowly improving his technique, but it was agonizingly slow at first. Many of the images he was able to conjure had an oddness to them. While they appeared real, they appeared just unreal enough to seem unsettling.

After some time he paused, leaning some of his weight on his staff. He would force himself to continue if commanded to do so, but his mind and body both demanded a moment's rest.

He could ask about history and take it from there, or he could bring something up in casual conversation during a mealtime or something like that?

Kurra looked him up and down and gave a small nod. "We may move on to other techniques, if you wish it. There's much to teach you of the Heart. Perhaps something more internally focused would suit you?"

he'll figure something out. When she gives him a history lesson next or when the topic comes up he'll ask a few things and get there. He's curious about Saro especially.

"That may be wise for the time being." He said. He pulled his flask from the back of his belt and drank a little water, enough to put a little strength back into his muscles.

That'll be a touchy subject. It'll probably take a few tries for them to engage with that line of questioning

"Very well." She seated herself on one of the benches beside the dreamers. "I want you to imprint yourself on this place. Just the spot you're standing in now. Did your culture teach this?"

well Sirejj has not been known to take no for an answer.

I think when a Zabrak sets their mind on something, it's nigh impossible to change it.

"Perhaps, but it might have been called another name. Explain?" His eyes followed her every movement. He wanted to learn what she had to teach, but it had been a very, very long time since he'd had any formal training. It was difficult coming back to structure and technique after so long of doing what he wanted.

I agree

"This is a rarely-used technique in which one leaves their presence behind in a place. It can be erased, of course, but imagine if you had been separated from your group while traveling these caves. Assuming your companions are similarly gifted, you can leave them a self-trail. You're making your time in a place spiritually tangible."

He was careful with his next words.

"I have sought out those...imprints. Memories. I have learned to see those signatures, but not intentionally leave one myself." He thought for a moment. It would be quite convenient if he could learn to erase his footprint from places he'd been. Especially if he worried about a much stronger force-sensitive tracking him. That could potentially be lifesaving.

"They are often left involuntarily, regardless of one's sensitivity to the Heart. It's the intention that makes these particular imprints more distinctive. The memories you speak of tend to be faint, like old stains." She clasped her hands in her lap. "The process of leaving an imprint is quite simple, especially if one is usually inward-turning. It's not too dissimilar from what we were just practicing, except you seek nothing and the meshing of place and person is more heterogeneous."

"Could one intentionally mislead an unwanted follower by leaving these marks in certain places?" He asked.

"Interesting." He paused for a moment, reaching into the force around him. He could see this place in his mind clearly. "How will I know if this works?" He said quietly, his mind still focused

He took a deep breath and left. He'd casted reflections of himself before, but they were not even semi-permanent and only served as a temporary distraction. He left the room and stood outside, waiting.

Kurra sat still for a few moments, then shook her head. "I feel nothing. Perhaps you completed the first few steps but did not see it through to completion. Come back in."
