The Neapolitan Games

New for NaPo 2024 (though inspired by a contest @Audy started circa 2017) this year Pcrew will host a variety of mini challenges during April that you are invited to take part in. Here's how they work...

Strawberry Challenge

- Time to add a little extra kick to your poetry, and try out new skills! Use This Poetic Element in your poem this week and post the link in this thread to claim the badge.

Vanilla Challenge

- Was your poem a "NaPo Classic"? If your poem used This Theme in the last seven days you can claim this badge. Just link to the poem, and quote the line that you think follows that theme/topic to claim the badge.

Chocolate Challenge

- Time to go out and read some sweet sweet poetry! Find the NaPo poem among the other threads from this week that uses This Line and PM the answer to @alliyah to claim this badge.

If you win a challenge, in addition to earning a cool badge, you also can get 25 points!

Any questions? Ask below! And see if you can earn all three badges before the month is over!

The Neapolitan Games: WEEK ONE... April 1 - April 7

Strawberry Challenge

- Time to add a little extra kick to your poetry, and try out new skills! Use The Poetic Element: Onomatopoeia in your poem this week (between April 1-7) and post the link in this thread to claim the badge.

Vanilla Challenge

- Was your poem a "NaPo Classic"? If your poem used The Poetry Theme of... Fire between April 1-7 you can claim this badge. Just link to the poem, and quote the line that you think follows that theme/topic to claim the badge.

Chocolate Challenge

- Time to go out and read some sweet sweet poetry! Find the NaPo poem among the other threads from this week that uses This NaPo Line: "it's the pre-dawn of fire-season" and PM the answer to @alliyah to claim this badge.

Deadline for Week One is April 7

If you win a challenge, in addition to earning a cool badge, you also can get 25 points! Any questions? Ask below!

I may update if I write anything that fits better.

Week 1:

Vanilla: Fire imagery is my jam, yo. I used "firestorm" in this one: i lost 2010 somewhere between now and then

Strawberry: "bang" in this one (i lost 2010 somewhere between now and then) about weather and thunderstorms because it's April and that's just how it rolls.
