Year 17 - and no, I still haven't found 2010. I almost thought I did, but it was 2015. Sigh. I did find stuff in my drive that was so old the dates now say 1969, though.

Title is definitely alliyah's fault.

2023 deluge
2022 ghosts burning
2021 the plague years
2020 distance, distraction, dissociation
2019 permafrost
2018 twisted steel and broken spines
2017 Drought
2016 Earthquake Weather
2015 once more unto the breach
2014 Poe-Tree
2013 *gasp* Mesh Masticates Madness!
2012 Look! Mesh actually *does* write!
2011 Stardust - Bek's NaPo thread 2011
2010 ?
2009 I love like a phantom: Bek's NaPo thread 2009
2008 Bek's NaPoWriMo thread

Goal is one a day for 30. And same as last year, I've written exactly one line of meh the entire year.

Here, have my attempted pre-napo poeting. It's bad, and I'm afraid, yo.

How I'm going to manage 30 poems this month I am not sure, but at least it will be entertainingly cringe?

ETA: wow, here's to typos you don't notice until after you do the screenshot. Oh well.

"drowns itself in an almost summer" -- poetry perfection.

You've got this Mesh! Looking forward to reading along with you this year!

(also the title of your thread makes me smile, and I hope you do at least one poem about looking for 2010 or lost poetry)!

This resonates with me as someone going through the general horror of early 20s desperation myself XD
But in all seriousness, I love the way this poem sprawls out, like this sentence also can't be stopped, only redirected. The particular tumble of ideas makes you keep re-reading to get a better sense of it.
"between graduation and grad school applications" says so much, and I like the way "in the interim in a firestorm" hits hard.
And I also like that your title pops up in it!

Hi, Mesh! I love poem number five <33 You do a fantastic job at displaying your family’s relationship with the world, juxtaposing the graveyards you can find some relation to and the rest of your ancestors being outcasts. Beautiful poem! ^^

Thanks, Wist!

I couldn't decide how to word some of this, so there's variations.
