Cw: body horror, creepy imagery, violence (consumption of humans, mass-killing)
Spoiler

So,, basically Vita Carnis is about these 7 species of fleshy meat creatures that mysteriously appeared on Earth. Lola is a Mimic, which are apex predators that hunt humans. But, as babies, they look similar to Trimmings (a cowardly, harmless creature that can be kept as a pet). Lola was mistaken for a Trimming and adopted by a family. But it became increasingly clear over time that she was a mimic, but the family thought that she would be docile bc she was raised around humans.
…. Then, on vacation to a cabin in the woods, she went on a rampage and ate them all. And also everyone else at the campsite. Because she had been malnourished and basically starving for years (baby mimics can eat non-humans, whereas juveniles and elders cant, but Lola’s metamorphosis was severely postponed due to the malnutrition). But the rapid influx of nutrients made her become an elder—mimics with thick dark skin and pale faces, like you see with her. And now, she fears starvation, and won’t leave anything behind of her victims.
Lola’s personality is feral and instinctual, bc she’s basically an animal. But one thing that sets her apart is her affinity for “beauty”. She likes to collect pretty things, like bows and jewelry.
So basically Lola is a pretty princess who does absolutely nothing wrong in her whole life ✨ /silly
