Hey this isn’t a word count update but just something funny I wanted to add:

Some of the chapters to this end in questions, and I would like everyone to know that when I end a story / chapter with a question, it is not just the character that’s confused: I am too because I have no idea how I’m going to answer it

I know I said I wanted to publish this to YWS someday, but now that I think ab it I’m a little nervous at the idea. I mean, I want to publish it, but idk its just that there’s several of y’all taking interest in the story and I just feel anxious about it.

You know, maybe I just need to go to sleep. Will update in the morning to see if that was the issue.

Total words: 14,016

I know I’m probably not supposed to keep going back and editing old chapters but I just cant help myself when I get a new idea and realize my old idea was kinda stupid

Okay, I need yall’s input:

So this story is gonna have a bunch of characters who aren’t from Earth, but Keith is from Earth, so that begs the question: what would a person from Earth be called?

For now I’m using the term “Earthian” but I’m not sure if that’s the term I want to use in the final draft, so let me know if yall have any ideas

Molly is so cute!! 0.0

I personally use the term "Earthling" in my novel. I think I picked it up from somewhere else, but I'm not sure where... "Human" might work too?

@Spearmint

I was trying not to use “human” because there are humans that aren’t from earth

Could also go for Terran if you like a more Latin-sounding term.

Earthian sounds different and unique, but earthling sounds a lot more professional in my opinion.

I might not keep track of the words bc of editing, but I’ll tally it all up at the end.

Another non-update:

So, the setting for most of my stories is just the regular world but with some fantasy/supernatural element to it (often unbeknownst to the general public), and Not My Circus is no exception. But now that I’m editing this, I’m noticing a lot of proper nouns (like apps or celebrities) that exist in the real world.

Most of the time I make fake ones or just don’t mention a name at all, just to make the stories feel different from our own world (and because I don’t want it to feel dated). Now I gotta go back and fix all that T-T

Its alright tho, its fun coming up with fake names

My spelling is wobbly. It's good spelling, but it wobbles, and the letters get in the wrong places.
