Shara grabbed Nahi's hand and practically dragged them over.

Nahi followed along, trying their best to follow Shara’s ruthless strides.

It didn't take long for Shara to reach the place with the listings.

Nahi stood back, not sure if it would be worse to have someone else be their roommate and risk having a tormentor, or drag this poor girl’s social status to Tartarus

"Come on, come on, check with me."

Nahi sighed. “Okay…” They flipped up their hood and walked alongside Shara.

"Thank you."

Nahi shrugged. “No need. Now, go and see who your roommate is. Once you can shoulder your way through the mob.”

"Not coming with me princess?"

Nahi made a small flustered noise. "I'd... rather not risk anyone recognizing me."

"You'll be fine. I'll protect you." Shara did a little bow. "I pledge myself to protect the chosen one."

Nahi froze. "Oh. Um. Oh. Dear. Okay." They felt like they were melting. "Cool. Cool cool cool. Mhm. Okay."

Shara beamed and gestured for them to follow. "Come along then princess."

Someone Shara didn't recognize popped out of nowhere, sticking a foot out along Nahi's path. Shara reached for them immediately.

Suddenly Nahi pitched forward, the ground rushing up to meet them. They cringed, bracing for impact.

Shara just about managed to swoop in catching Nahi before they fell and lifting them up into her arms on instinct.
