A week later, Tomhas remained completely withdrawn. He attended meals but sequestered himself in the library or in his room; the fire seemed to have gone out of him completely. Gaius kept an eye on him and asked that Sera do the same; he hadn't seen his brother like this in years.
Emery was reading in the library now; he'd been nervous to show his face near Ky again for fear of what she might do but risked sitting in the corner of the library out of the way.

It was a week of very, very complicated emotions for Ky and Jerica both and they spent a fair bit of time trying to work each other out. Figure out sisterly dynamics. Piece together bits and pieces of their stories and see what they could come up with in terms of a working familial relationship. Zander guided where he could, but they both seemed to be going through cycles of wanting his comfort and being angry with him.
Jerica stayed angry with Derik. Though it was slowly fading.
And Ky was slowly getting past her own shock. Which made her feel guilty for how she’d treated both her father and Emery. But especially Emery. She’d been out of line. Majorly. And decided today was the day that she’d apologize and hope to the gods he could find it within him to forgive her for her vitriol.
She spent some time wandering before she found him, but now that she had eyes on him her entire gut locked up. Some with residual anger for what he’d done. But mostly with anxiety. He no doubt hated her now; and for good reason. She’d been awful.
She cautiously approached, trying to figure out what to say.

Emery didn't look up from his book at first, but when he did and caught sight of her, he visibly flinched. He forced himself to relax slightly, but he kept a wary eye on her. "...Hi, Ky," he said quietly.
