They flinched as Aeron touched them, and their eyes shot open. They stared at him for a moment, breathing hard. "What-what-what happened?" they demanded shakily.

They flinched again and lowered their hand. "Sorry, sorry...." This must be one of the faeries. She didn't look nearly as little as they'd expected. Quite the opposite, in fact. "They's a shoy likklun, ent they?" Unna mused, stretching her neck forward to get a better look at Beck. "Without a brain, too, apparently." Tove joined Aeron beside them. "Just hours after I explicitly warn you about the fae you're in here, traipsing about without a care in the world. Are you trying to die?"

They looked around for their glasses, which lay near where they'd been looking at the fish. "I was curious about the toads and the tartberries," they admitted. "I went back to the tavern after you left to have a quick nap and then I headed out to the crick. The toads weren't out so I went a bit deeper into the woods to see what I could find."
