“I don’t know,” she murmured, reluctantly following after him. “You’ve been around a lot longer than me; where do people hang out?”

"The library, parlors, the dining hall. Probably some bedrooms."

“Whose bedrooms?” She furrowed her brow at him. Maybe Gaius was right that all the locks needed changed.

He shrugged. "Their old bedrooms, I'd assume. Septimus hangs out in his old room, I know that."

“That’s good to know.”

"I'd try a parlor first."

“Lead the way.” She gestured invitingly.

"No, you lead the way so you can open the doors. I'll hang back."

“You can’t open doors?” she asked skeptically, but strode forward.

"I can. But like I said, people sometimes don't like me."

“And they’ll like you better if I open the door?” she asked flatly.

"I'll hang back."

(Better! I legit just woke up so I got a solid twelve hours of sleep haha haven’t actually gotten up or tried to eat or anything but all I notice so far is a headache which I will absolutely take compared to yesterday lol)

Ky stopped, turning towards him with a furrowed brow. “What exactly is the plan, then? Me just walk up to a random person and go “hey I can see you; try to touch me please?”
