"Well there are books to read in the library if you want. And there's a lovely artifact room upstairs." He thought for a moment. "There are card and board games as well."

(Still nice tho! It hits different getting to control your own destiny in slice size haha)

“That’s good to know.” Ky nodded. “I wouldn’t want to be a bother, though. I can entertain myself.”

(I feel powerful)

"Not at all! This place gets sooo boring if you don't know the right places to hang out. I can show you around if you want. To a certain extent."

(I can hear you roar from here)

“I’d like that.” Ky smiled. “If you’re sure you don’t mind.”

"Not at all! I got a tour when I came here; it's only fair you get one as well. Wanna do it now or wait? I'm good for either."

“I’ve got nothing else planned.” Ky shrugged, hoping he wouldn’t force her to give an explicit yes.

"Let's go, then! Are you..." He paused, frowning. "Sorry. Are you okay to do stairs right now?"

“I think so, yeah!” Ky nodded once. “…I may need to go a little slow, though. So… I understand if that’s, uh, I mean. I know that may be frustrating. So. Uh. Up to you! I’m happy with whatever.”

"Not at all, not at all! We'll go as slow as you need." He stepped to the side. "We'll be going downstairs mostly, so that should help."

“Until it’s time to come back up.” Ky grinned, stepping fully out of her room and shutting the door behind her. She stepped to the side to be out of the way in case Emery wanted to lock the door. She didn’t fully grasp what the rules were, but she was happy to abide by them and would go with the flow.

He left it as it was and headed toward the stairs. "So I know by now you've met Lord Ash?"

"Yes, sir," Ky confirmed with a nod as she strode after him. "He came by the infirmary the morning after we arrived."

"How'd you like him? The questions never change, if it makes you feel any better."

“He seems very kind.” Absolutely terrifying. But. Well. He was providing free medical care. And humble enough she didn’t even notice he was the Lord of the Keep at first. “…he asks that many questions every single time you see him?” Gods.

"He will absolutely ask you more, but no. I mean, he's been asking those questions for years. It's a policy of his, I guess?" He shrugged. "He's cautious."
