Ky finished off her tea. How soon could that happen? Maybe a week for preparations? Two weeks for travel? She could survive three more weeks here. Or. Well. One more week here. Then two weeks on the road. Which would be better. She hated traveling up here but the cold would be worth it.

Sara nodded fervently. "That's exactly how I feel. And in his condition..." She closed her eyes for a moment. "He's bound to get sick on the way there or on the way back, even if he doesn't amputate his leg. Having no body weight makes it so much easier for things like that to happen--it's a miracle he was well after coming home from Caracal Keep. I don't want to lose him."
