“You too,” she said, also taking a step towards him. Then immediately feeling awkward. Should she offer a hug? Or would it make her look childish in front of what felt like half the occupants of the Keep.
(Bro I got spray foam on me at work so I tried gas to get it off and then I tried a tough cleaner to get the gas off and neither step worked so now I’m foamy and smell so much like gas I have a headache I—)

(My hands feel funny haha not from the gas there’s something called Orange Cleaner that a lot of people who work with grease etc use because it’s got a like grit to it that lifts oils off the skin and that’s what I used and now the rest of my hands are so smooth like all the layers of dead skin cells are off haha)
Ky watched him go. She couldn’t help but feel a little like she had when Zander left. Not to the same degree certainly. But would she ever see him again? Or was he going to die too? Everyone she cared about either left or died. Maybe she should stop caring about people.

Ky kept staring into the woods where Rönn had disappeared. The direction of everything Ky wanted. Towards home. Towards her parents. Towards Zander. Towards her childhood home. Away from the troll. And she was stuck here.

Ky glanced over at her, not properly irritated, but also remembering what she’d been trying so hard not to say to Ada last night. The fact they all just wanted to exploit her friend. “He is a person; not just a story.”
