Zander eyed her and smiled slightly. That was good. He liked to hear her use that word. To accept her new family as her true family. It was clear she’d taken Petrir’s loss hard. He didn’t even want to imagine how she’d take it when he inevitably had to reveal Mikhail’s existence to her. But that was a problem for the distant future.
