The room contained several upward slanted writing desks and chairs at each one, all with ink wells and quills sitting on the flat part of the desk. A small stack of paper was at each desk as well.

“I have own.” Ky lifted her chin proudly, but it somehow wasn’t prideful in a negative way. “I a fancy noble thing now.” She couldn’t maintain her facade and cracked a grin. “Aka Tomhas gave me his wax and a seal to mark letters from Caracal Keep… even if they’re coming from Serpent Keep, I guess.”

We made it!
The trip wasn’t too terrible.
She stopped just before she said it wasn’t too eventful. Because it was eventful. She’d met Rönn and argued with Gaius. And who even knew which one of those feats was more dangerous and therefore impressive that she’d come out of unscathed.

But it’s nice to be done with it, all the same. Gaius gave me a terrifyingly nice room on the fifth floor — I’m fairly certain there are countries smaller than the bed. It’s very, very generous. He’s being very kind.
