Anime… I’m like the only girl in the word who doesn’t watch it… I’d expect.

Documentaries are fun! I love to watch them.
I hate horror movies. I prefer horror games.

Documentaries are the best! I grew up watching those.

I'm also getting whiplash and realizing how old I am reading your comment about anime @lehmanf. Back when I first got into anime, barely anyone in my school was into it. It wasn't super mainstream, at least where I lived. But now I keep seeing people wearing anime shirts and merch so >>

Anime was always kind of weird. In the early 2000s it was just everyone loved it, what we had on afternoon TV, then you turned 10-12 and it was kind of uncool, and from 13 to 16 you were a nerd or a geek or something stupid if you mentioned anime and at 17+ it was kind of in again. I know a lot of people who have at least one series they like to watch.

Same thing with Pokémon, at some point at 12+ you were a loser if you mentioned it and when the Black and White editions came out everything was so cool again. Trends are so crap because you get locked into groups or excluded.

But to the endpoint, I watch a bit of anime on TV in the evening when I have time, there's an Austrian channel that shows them, and they're always funny despite the rather obscene humour. And more and more famous dubbing actors are getting involved, which I think is good and they do it well. Especially Shinji and his father Gendo from Neon Genesis Evangelion. They are perfect.

That's a really good description of it, Mailice! Anime wasn't as wildly watched in my town, but my classmates definitely knew shows like Pokemon.

As for documentaries, it depends! One of my parents is a history teacher and the other is a biology, so we watched a lot of history and nature documentaries growing up. I really enjoyed the ones on prehistoric animals, but there's a whole slew of childhood faves sitting on a shelf somewhere in my house.
