So, this has been in my head for a long while, so I already have a relatively solid main character. What age range do we want?

I usually write between 17 and 27 but I can be flexible on either end

So, their name is Alex (they/them and xe/xem pronouns). Xe was fired from their job and on the brink of homelessness. Xe receives the letter invitation along with a foreclosure notice. Without thinking, they accept too desperate to get out of this situation by any means possible. They've had a rough go of it, experiencing homelessness at a young age and only crawling out of that hole because of a friend. Xe wants a break, and becoming perfect sounds like their best bet.
Flaws: Low self-esteem, absent-minded, gives up quickly, difficulty sleeping and waking up, tends to avoid challenges because of a fear of failure.

I'll use Sadie (she/her) -- she was kicked out of her parents' house at 17 when her father caught her kissing her best friend. She's done a lot of couch surfing these past few years and now has pretty steady employment, but she tends to be a bit of a thrill-seeker and is interested in this so-called perfection.
Flaws: Timid, spills her guts when pressed for information, difficulty being open with people.

Alright! Two characters. I already have Alex's caseworker, Emily. She seems very shallow like she has no thoughts or feelings. She's in this perpetual state of slightly cheerful like her customer service voice is always on.

Cool! Sadie's caseworker will be Meyer. He's got a gruff public persona but is generally well-meaning and level-headed. He'd be equally comfortable trying to make friends as he would to get in a fist fight.
