"What were you gonna say, Em?"

Remy felt bad for making Emile nervous.

“…can you come lay with me..? J-Just so I feel safer- you don’t have to-“

Emile seemed embarrassed to ask.

"Yeah, if that's what you want"

“Wait really-? Oh- thanks, heh…”

Emile chuckled awkwardly.

“Well, uh… good night.”

Remy lays down next to Emile

"Good night, Em"

Emile smiled softly, eventually falling asleep with Remy by his side.

Remy decided not to sleep because getting up might wake up Emile and going to sleep might end in Emile getting hurt and so Remy chooses to suffer.

At one point, Emile shifted to where he was laying against Remy. Essentially cuddling him.

Remy didn't move at all, barely even breathing.

The next morning, Emile yawned. He cuddled into Remy more, gently hugging him.

Remy smiled, still awake, still not moving

"Hey.. We aren't dead yet, so that's good"

Emile nuzzled closer, before tensing up and blushing.

“Wait- oh stars, I am so sorry, I promised I’d stay on my own side and I didn’t-“
