“I think I’ll just go to yours.”

Emile tried to get up, but once again, the pain in his side stopped him.

"Okay then"

Remy picked Emile up and started heading to his base with him.

Emile squeaked, blushing brightly. Not only was his crush back, but he was being CARRIED by him. Gosh, he was more in love than he’d realized.

Remy walked about a mile to get back to his base. When he got there, he took Emile over to a separate part of it and put him on an air mattress that Remy would usually sleep on but Emile needed it more at the time.

Emile relaxed a little.

“You have a nice place. …wait, where are you sleeping?”

"I'm just gonna sleep on the floor. I only have the one air mattress and you need it more than I do"

Emile frowned.

“But you deserve to be comfy, too! …we could share..? A-And keep to our own sides of the bed, of course.”

"Em, I'll be fine. It's not a big deal"

“Are you sure..? I want you to be here- er, I mean- comfortable, heh.”

Remy was oblivious-


"Yeah, I move around a lot when I sleep and I could end up hurting you, and I don't want that to happen"

Emile sighed.

“…I guess that’s fair, but don’t be afraid to get in bed if you get uncomfortable, m’kay?”

"Okay, but really, Em. I'll be fine. It's not like sleeping on the floor is the worst thing to ever happen to me"

“True… well, uh… good night.”

"Good night, don't die in your sleep"

Emile gulped. He looked nervous now.

“…c-can you- um- never mind.”
