Remy poured water on the almost corpse's face in an attempt to wake them up.

Emile awoke. He tensed up.

“H-Huh-?!”

He sat up quickly, which caused heavy pain in his side (where the bleeding had been coming from).

Remy gently pushed him back down

"Calm down. You're making things worse for yourself."

Emile whimpered and nodded, curling up against the person. …Wait a minute. Was that… He looked up at him, and gasped.

“…R-Remy…?!”

Remy hadn't exactly recognized Emile because of the blood, dirt, and bruises, but now that he had heard his voice and recognized his own jacket on Emile, he knew who he was

"Em..? Is it actually you or have I started hallucinating again?"

“N-No, it’s- it’s me… oh my stars- Remy-“

Emile began sobbing happily into Remy’s chest.

“Y-You’re here..! You’re really here… I-I thought- thought you- ohh, I’m s-so glad you’re here…”

Remy was in too much shock to do anything at the moment, and so he just stared down at emile, smiling.

“Y-You saved me, didn’t you… th-thank you… you’re my hero…”

"...You're welcome, Em..."

Emile lay there, holding onto Remy until his tears came to a stop.

"So.. what happened?"

“…”

Emile sighed.

“…there were these two guys… they beat me up so they could rob me, I think… I’m pretty sure they were working for the aliens, that or they’re just mean…”

"Oh.. do you know where they went? I wanna kill them."

Emile gulped.

“I-I’d like to avoid killing people, if possible… besides, I can’t remember where they went. The last thing I remember before blacking out was one of them punching me…”

"Alright, that's fine. I won't kill anyone then. Do you have a base of your own or do you just wanna crash in mine?"
