James looked back at her, not breaking eye contact.
“Evaline, if there’s anything you’ve proven to me, it’s that you’re sincere, and you genuinely care. True friends don’t apologize like you just did, and I see the value in you as a person, even when you make mistakes. Neither of us are perfect, and I don’t expect you to be.”
